Iris, barefoot and giggling, was pouring another glass of wine for a woman he didn't recognize. "Iris?" he said, his voice filled with curiosity. Iris turned, her face flushed. "Carter! This is Sasha. She's my... friend." Carter blinked. "Friend?" Sasha waved, clearly tipsy but unapologetic. "Hey, Mr. Fancy Suit." Carter chuckled, amused. "Well, this is unexpected. Nice to meet you, Sasha." Sasha looked around, then whispered loudly to Iris, "Your husband's kind of hot."

He had his dark hair braided back, and aside from the ruggedness and the scars, he was a fine-looking man. Kark nodded back at her with a slow, predatory smile. Slowly, Irina started to shake her head. She looked back at Yvara, her voice trembling. "No... no... I can't do that. The Totem is the only—" Yvara’s smile widened, cutting her off. "At least you're finally agreeing there is a Totem." Irina realized she had spoken too much. She started to panic, her words falling over each other as she tried to backtrack. And the guy in there is Luca, my boyfriend," "I think I want to go home now," Tasha says and we both look down at her. I help her up and we all go to the room to see Luca sitting on the huge bed and immediately he sees me he sighs.
