Blood and Bones

Blood and Bones

Fear making him brave in the specific stupid way that fear does. She looks at him for a moment. Then at me. Something passes between us — not a question, not a request. Just information. Your turn for a moment. I push off the worktable. I cross to Caruso slowly, the way I cross to everything I've decided to deal with, and I take his right hand — zip-tied to the chair arm, fingers splayed — and I look at it the way I look at structural problems. Practically. Dispassionately.

Book One of the Rosewood Trilogy: The Broken Sanctum

Book One of the Rosewood Trilogy: The Broken Sanctum

My hands curled tightly at my sides as the heat rushed through my body in violent waves. Something warm splattered onto the dirt. I blinked, confused. Then I saw it. Blood. Lyria’s blood still dripped from the cuts across her palms. And suddenly it wasn’t dripping anymore. It was moving. A thin crimson thread lifted slowly from her hand, rising into the air like it was being pulled by invisible strings. The entire group froze. “What…?” someone whispered. The blood twisted in the air. Another drop lifted. Then another. Lyria’s eyes widened as she stared at her own hand.

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Wiped herself clean. Saw blood on her hands. Too much blood. Her childbearing years long gone, her womb hadn’t wept in years. And with the red pooled in her palms, this was more sobbing than the gentle weeping of quiet tears. Lifting her hands, she let the red slip down her wrists to run along her arms, not caring that it stained her nightdress or tickled her flesh as it dripped off her elbow. She found herself watching the woman in the mirror’s bloody fingertip dot her forehead, the left side of her chest, the right side of her chest, her heart, and then her lips.

Hush, Baby

Hush, Baby

This wetness is called tears! And I am…crying! Raising my hand to wipe away the annoying wetness, I stop midway, for I notice something under my nails, something red that makes me disgusted. Blood? but why is there blood under my nails?! I look at the doctor, begging her for answers but I see she is busy, she has a…syringe in her hand, and she is injecting it in this thin transparent tube, I follow the tube and I see that it is attached to my hand!

The Other Half Of Me

The Other Half Of Me

I asked because I really needed to see a doctor for both of them. “For the red stuff of course" I looked at him weirdly. “You can just say blood. It's just blood. And There's no need for any worry. It happens when there's a lot of cold” ". You have had this before?" “Yes... I mean no" I was confused. “How's your hand?" He instantly became uncomfortable. He knew I saw how it healed. “It's fine" I folded my hand. "And you didn't give me answers to my questions”

Dangerous Liaisons: Love in the Shadows

Dangerous Liaisons: Love in the Shadows

A sinking feeling settled in the pit of my stomach as I glanced around, my eyes landing on the only other person in the vicinity - him. As I shifted my gaze towards the source of the wetness on my hand, a mix of shock and disbelief washed over me. The sight that met my eyes was both disturbing and perplexing. The blood, crimson and glistening, was pouring out from the very spot where my clenched fist had made contact with him, repeatedly and with unyielding force. A deep sense of confusion enveloped my thoughts as I struggled to comprehend the gravity of the situation. How could a mere series of punches result in such a profuse and relentless flow of blood from his arm?

The Kidnapped Alpha

The Kidnapped Alpha

After celebrating shortly in her mind and she returned her gaze back to the pack of blood in her hands, her victorious smile diminished slowly as her body stood frozen like she was fixed there. She held the pack of blood not too lightly and not too firm as her eyes never left the blood as they started switching colours from blue to the normal blood red, from red to the strange blue. " W_what's this?" She stammered still looking at the strange happening on her palm but when she started feeling the way her palm was heating up like there was a burning fire on them, she could tell that something was wrong somewhere. She looked around the room, there was no where to hide this from others, garneri

the story has a great pace and flow. it's a Great read. one of the scenes that stood out the most to me was when Daria was looking for her sound I felt that scene so much. I have a love hate with Kaden but that intrigues me more. I can't wait to see where this book goes!

Books like this need more readers and reviews too. I love the starting already since I'm just starting. The characters development, the role they played and the story plot is well written in a good style. Ride on, dear author.

Bite Me Harder, Alpha

Bite Me Harder, Alpha

The blood in the third vial looks wrong. I can’t explain it, which is what bothers me, but something about it is wrong… My hands are shaking again. I try to steady them, but it won’t work. It smears in weird, patchy lines, almost as if it doesn’t want to be there or is trying to hide. This is my blood.

Blood and Ashes

Blood and Ashes

I spoke with a soft sigh; I shot my eyes tight. I felt a warm and moist feeling in my nose. With my index finger, I wiped my nose with my palms. The blood I saw this time was not the usual one, it was usually a few drops. I thought it was just the minor stress that I usually put myself through that caused it. I looked at my hand gloves, it was covered in thick red blood. they formed thick blood clots. I gasped, doing my best to stop the bleeding. My hands were shaky or maybe I was the one wobbly.

Reclaiming the Love We Lost

Reclaiming the Love We Lost

“Come inside.” That was enough to make Jessica’s hands start shaking. Inside the room, the air felt colder and tighter. Jennifer placed the file on the table, opened it, and turned it toward her. “His blood work isn’t normal,” she said. Jessica frowned. “What does that mean?” Jennifer hesitated, choosing her words carefully. “There’s a significant abnormality in his cell count. Not just slight. It’s… elevated beyond what we would expect from stress or fatigue.” Jessica stared at the numbers. They didn’t make sense, or maybe they made too much sense. “What are you saying?” she asked, her voice smaller now.
