"I don't want to rip my shirt." Eron's shirt lay discarded on the grass as he stood before me, his back to me. With a swift motion, two magnificent wings unfurled from his back, and I gasped in astonishment. They were angel-like wings, their feathers glistening in the moonlight as they stretched out, casting a shadow on the ground beneath. "Velia, I want to show you something truly special," Eron said softly, his eyes locked onto hers. Still taken aback by the sight before me, I cautiously approached, my curiosity overcoming my initial surprise. With trembling fingers, I reached out and touched one of the feathers. It was soft and cool to the touch, sending a shiver of awe down my spine.

He took his seat at the table, leaning back with a grin that was far too wide. My father leaned in, a mischievous glint in his eyes that I hadn’t seen in years. “So, Eren, now that you have been fed, tell us. How is that colorful love life of yours? Have you finally met someone who can tolerate you for more than a week?” Eren bristled, snatching a piece of bread. “I do not have a messed-up love life like yours, thank you very much! But you would not believe the woman I saw today. She was like an actual vision. An angel in a navy skirt.”

He screamed miserably, "Stop, stop! Please spare me, I was wrong!" Valerie punched him a few more times before finally stopping. She looked at him and asked, "So now, are you going to cooperate?" Eren cried with a pitiful face and said, "Y-Yes! My name is Eren Kirstein, nickname Swift Shadow, an unofficial disciple of Thunder Sect." Eric shouted, "I don't care who you are! What were you trying to do, sneaking onto Mount Lourneau in the middle of the night?" Eren shrank back and replied, "I was gathering intel. And I figured I would try my luck and see if I could kidnap the Lloyd family's Dragon Prince."

The training yard rang with the thud of bodies and the sharp crack of staffs colliding. Dust hung in the cool morning air, mingling with sweat and pine. Lyra circled the group of trainees with the sharp patience of a predator, barking corrections when stances faltered. Her presence kept the younger wolves taut, every motion precise. And that was enough to glisten her hope. She moved, careful enough to reinstate that she was a human. She screamed, tossing her feet back over the bird’s nest and out of the shadow of the huge tree. She had then heard the thudding of footsteps away like the person was running. She pursued, having no idea who exactly she was chasing. Perhaps it was a serial murderer that came to bury his last victim in the forest, she hadn’t known.

Eren crouched and his expression sharpend. “She must have staged it,” he murmured. “Every part of it.” He picked up a bone that was a part of a whole skeleton, turning it carefully in his fingers. “Look,” he said. “A swan.” My stomach clenched. “Do you know what it means?”

The bird immediately landed on the back of the empty seat next to me from the left. "It's his majesty's bird," Erenea said in surprise. I don't know why he should be surprised. This is just a messenger bird and there is no big deal using it. "Yes. I borrowed it since I needed to consult with my grandfather about the situation in the Capital." I answered him. The topic is harmless, and there is no reason for me to hide that since she's coming with us. "Your grandfather? Who is he?" He frowned when he asked me.

Jordan remarked, raising an eyebrow. “No, there's nothing really going on between us.” I assured him, “But what did you mean by an upgrade to his past dating record?” “You’re a good girl Emily, the kinda girl guys like Eren don't usually get,” Jordan explained, his tone serious. “His last relationship was no different from a dumpster fire.” “I'm not sure if you have heard this before, but Eren used to have a mate. Her name was Allison.” He took a pause and it left me wondering what happened between Eren and his mate.

Unlike the others though, he appeared to be half-bird, half-man. “Why are there so many of them?” I asked my wolf, unable to take my eyes off the shifter bird. “Wait, you can see them now?” She asked in shock. Instead of answering her, I watched as the Python coiled its large body around the large bird’s limbs, just before wrapping around his neck. Thankfully it released Eric. When Eric’s gaze turned to me, I wasn’t sure what was going on in his head. “Keep working on her.” Eric spoke, before turning his attention back on his attacker.
