32. Shadrach's True Identity Shadrach's POV Shadrach Hunter Reigns was a lesser-known name in the business world, but Samuel Jackson Reigns was a notable one. My father had a short but incredibly successful life. By his mid-30s, he had everything a man could dream of: a well-established business, a reputation as a self-made billionaire, and a loving family with a wife who supported and cherished him in every aspect of his life, along with two adorable children—my brother and me.

Once someone has latched on to Cadence, she has a hard time shaking them. I heard her two other guy friends—the aforementioned Jack Cook, ex-boyfriend and star baseball player who now attends college in Nebraska, and Jon Chancellor, who decided not to go to college. Still grinning, we sat on the stools just like old times. Jett placed down a bottle of beer for him. “Not in trouble, as far as I know, not in a wanted list either, Jack Reacher.” I laughed. When was the last time I laugh like this? We talked over the phone, exchanged emails, but not like this. Jack interrupted. “Yes,” Rodrigo replied, “that same guy who’s caught last year in New York. He was a small-time drug dealer back then, but he expanded his business to gun smuggling in and out of the states. He’s been hiding since he got busted, Jack. How the hell did you get involved with these people?”

She asked, hoping he would introduce himself. He swallowed hard, looking around the room as if to make sure there was no one else. The only people in the room were the few guards situated there and so he nodded, “I'm Jack Luna, I came to inform you of something" She watched him closely, “I'm all ears" He continued, “I'm a hunter in the forest ma'am, I saw something I thought I should let you know." He paused and Celeste could sense his nervousness. Just as he was about to speak, she heard voices come from behind her and recognized them immediately - Ragnar. He walked into the sitting room and suddenly Jack in front of her stood straighter.
