He paused and just when I wanted to talk, he beat me to it and talked first.

"Please go on, she needs to relax. Show her why Queen pays you the big bucks." I couldn't believe it. Was he handing me over? Was my bodyguard pushing me into the arms of a stranger? Jaz didn't need to be told twice. He stepped into my space, his hand on my shoulder, his eyes searching mine. Then he crossed himself over my lap and tilted my chin up so I kept eye contact. The music below shifted, and he started moving slowly at first. Then his rhythm became something else entirely. His hips rolled against me in a steady, deliberate pulse. I froze, my hands hovering in the air before they instinctively landed on his knees just to keep my balance.

Simple. The next morning, Kieran showed up at Sinclair Corporation headquarters fifteen minutes early, dressed in his usual black tactical gear with his dark hair pulled back tight. The building was a massive glass and steel tower that probably cost more than Kieran would make in his entire lifetime. Security at the front desk looked him over with barely concealed disdain when he said he was there to see Elliot Sinclair. "You're the new bodyguard?" one of them asked, a smug beta who clearly thought this was hilarious. "Aren't you a little... small?"

Stella spoke. "I know. Vann has reported it to me before," Jasper replied. "She sent someone to kidnap me, did you know about that?" Stella asked again. "I know. Vann reports everything that concerns you to me," Jasper said calmly. "Later, I saw her fighting with a man at the door of my house. I think he took her away in the end. Did you know that as well?" Stella questioned further. "Yes. That man was Elvis. He works for me and he is responsible for protecting you."

She had no idea what kind of men they were, but one of them was about to brought her inside when suddenly there was a gun shot and one of the man who was holding her fell down to the ground, bleeding from his chest. That shocked everyone and two of the other men who were left moved their attention toward the gun direction, but at that very second one of them who was holding Ana was already shot as well. Ana stared at the man before her. It was Alexander. He literally just shot these two men in front of her. The entire time he became her bodyguard she did not think she ever saw him shooting anyone, the most he did was to knock out some of the men who nearly hurt her, but this time he was not

Probably a worker from the Hall. “I’m Matthew,” “Evans.” I shook his hand. “These people really think they’re gods huh?” I nodded in agreement, “I ignore them mostly,” He smiled and looked at me, “You must be a pretty tough man to be the Alpha’s bodyguard huh?” I shrugged, “Where do you work?” I looked up and down his attire, his jacket looked way too expensive for someone who would work at the administration or even at a higher post. I stood there, caught in my thoughts, and didn't move when I was supposed to. The hall grew tense as everyone turned to stare, their faces full of curiosity and confusion. "Wait!" A clear, urgent female voice sliced through the stillness in the training hall. The training hall doors flew open, and Isabella Thornton rushed in, slightly out of breath. Her gaze swept past everyone and settled on me. Panic and something darker, almost like fear, flickered in her eyes. "Grandpa, I don't want him." She pointed at me, her tone leaving no room for argument. "I'm choosing Jasper as my personal bodyguard."

After the two female bodyguards left, new male bodyguards took their places. Jasper stood on the stairs, his expression grim as he observed the two female bodyguards. He sternly questioned them, "Is this the level of your performance?" "Mr. Searle, the incident with Mr. Felix jumping out of the car was a complete accident—" Before she could finish her explanation, Jasper slapped her. "With the situation turning out like this, you still find it appropriate to argue? And what about the injury on Esther's neck? Are you suggesting she harmed herself out of boredom?"

Instead, he witnessed something that shouldn't have happened; Jasper was leaning on Hayden's chest, and Jasper was stroking Hayden's hands while he was doing his homework.
