Phase one was the first step to get rid of Human discrimination– Getting rid of all enslaved humans. In the west and the east; the two Alpha’s– Jiya Williams –who took her husband’s place after he was brutally murdered by Werewolves, because he freed all human slaves. (Julian had told him to wait for his signal; but he went ahead and did it anyway.) And Caleb Long– the Alpha of the east region. The south was ruled by Julian’s good friend - Gabriel Allen. The first trip was to the east. Jiya Williams was a magnificent woman. Her brown skin glowed under the sun as she stood near the doors of her grand mansion, where the entrance was decorated with flowers of all colors. It was as if she had added life to her lands. Everywhere you looked, it was perfectly crafted, colored and kept. The doors, the houses, the crops, the lands, the markets and most importantly– the people. It was difficult to believe that this place would be anything less than peaceful. But not everything that glitters is
“Do you think it’s true?... about the statue?” I asked as I removed my jacket, resting it on top of the chair. We were in Julian’s room and he was sitting on his bed still in his work clothes as he watched me. “Maybe,” he said, a little distracted as if mentally he was somewhere else. “Would you… would you be willing to try it with me?” I asked quietly. He snapped back to the present and looked at me, his eyes wide with shock. “Would you be okay with that?” I nodded. “I guess so,” He then smiled wide and leaned on his arms backwards, “I’m sure you are my mate, but we’ll go there and test that statue out soon.” “Okay,” I smiled as I kept my weapons belt on the table. There was still something I wanted to ask Julian, and this seemed the right time. “Julian… that night, how did you know where I was?” Julian’s expression hardened and he straightened up, bringing his arms on his lap. “I couldn’t sleep that night… I went out for a walk but I couldn’t get you out of my head.
The morning light filtered through the curtains as Evelyn awoke to the sound of distant voices echoing through the mansion. She sat up, stretching as the events of the previous night came rushing back. Her mind was still clouded with thoughts of Julian—his protective stance, his cold yet gentle touch. She shook her head, trying to push those thoughts aside.Focus, she told herself. You’re here to repay a debt, nothing more. She got dressed and made her way downstairs, her curiosity piqued by the raised voices coming from Julian's study. As she approached, she recognized one of the voices as Julian's, low and authoritative. The other belonged to a man she didn't recognize.Evelyn hesitated outside the door, but the conversation inside was too intense to ignore.“You’re telling me they’ve aligned with them?” Julian's voice was sharp, a mix of disbelief and anger.“They didn’t have a choice, Julian,” the other man replied, his tone pleading. “The new gang is gaining ground faster than we
"What's with the smile Miss?" Ava asked as she put final touches onto my hair.Evelyn blushed not realizing she had been day dreaming. "Uh... nothing, this gown is just so... gorgeous."It was true, Evelyn was in love with the gown."And you make it look even better. I'm sure all eyes will be on you tonight."Evelyn stood before the mirror, the soft glow of the vanity lights illuminating her figure draped in a stunning blue gown. The fabric hugged her curves in all the right places, the neckline dipping to reveal a hint of her delicate collarbone. Her hair was elegantly styled in an updo, strands coming down in loose curls around her face, her neck exposed. It was Ava's skilled hands that had worked their magic, turning her into a vision of elegance and sophistication. And beside her, Julian stood, looking handsome in his own attire, a perfectly tailored tuxedo that complemented her gown. His hair was slicked back, his tattoos peeking out from beneath the fabric, often made Evelyn curi
Evelyn paced back and forth in her bedroom, her mind a whirlwind of emotions. She glanced at the flowers in her hand, feeling foolish for thinking Julian would appreciate them. The image of the blonde woman so close to him made her stomach churn. She had to apologize for last night, regardless of how she felt now.Taking a deep breath, she resolved to face him. She couldn't let her emotions get the better of her. She headed to Julian's study once more, hoping the woman would be gone. This time, she knocked firmly on the door."Come in," Julian's voice called out.Evelyn pushed the door open and stepped inside, finding Julian alone, sitting behind his large mahogany desk. His expression was unreadable, his gray eyes focused on her."Evelyn," he said, his tone neutral. "What brings you here?"She hesitated for a moment, then walked forward, holding out the flowers. "I wanted to apologize for last night. I... I know I made a mistake. And I brought these for you."Julian's eyebrows raised
That night, Evelyn lay in bed, her mind racing with thoughts of escape. She had spent days meticulously noting the guards' schedules and had drawn a detailed map of the mansion on a piece of paper. She had studied every possible exit and weakness in the security system. Despite Julian's warnings, she was determined to find a way out.Evelyn waited until the precise moment when the guards changed shifts, a time she had carefully observed over the past weeks. Slipping out of bed, she dressed in dark clothes to blend into the night and grabbed her map. She silently made her way through the mansion, avoiding any creaky floorboards and sticking to the shadows. She reached the vine-covered wall she had inspected earlier. Testing the strength of the vines once more, she found them capable of supporting her weight. With a deep breath, she began to climb, moving quickly but cautiously. She was almost at the top when an ear-splitting siren blared through the air, shattering the silence of the ni
