Her whole body screamed to run, to flee—but there was nowhere to go.
Aaron moved again, stepping close, too close, the heat of his body overpowering her. “You made me do this,” he said softly, almost seductive, almost playful—and that was what made it worse. His words wrapped around her fear, twisting it into guilt. “You always make me lose control. You always push me until I…” He let the sentence hang, leaving her to fill it with the violence she’d just felt.
She pressed herself against the doorframe, shaking. “I—I didn’t—”
