Jake Maddox Author Novels & Stories

I was sure he was trying to trigger something within me, but before I could react, Jake was talking again. “Maddox’s properties are all connected to the pack and will be turned over to Nadine as the new Alpha of the Dark Forest. Unfortunately, Maddox had nothing. His private account and properties were also gone.” “What do you mean?” I asked, my forehead creasing. I was sure there were some properties that were still under Dark Forest’s name because Arlo and Kenzo helped me collate them to see if we could sell some to raise funds. “He had more debts than money, Nadine,” Jake said, and my hand on the table involuntarily coiled into a fist.

He asked curiously slipping his phone into the pockets of his Balmacaan coat. “My name is Jake Mackenzie,” he said with a confident smug on his face as he stepped closer to Kayden. “It’s thanks to you, I lost my job yet, so I thought I should say hi, I guess billionaires such as yourself aren’t concerned about how difficult it is for an ex-convict to get a job.”

"What? Are you sure that's the right thing to do?!" "I'm a guy—trust me on this." "Okay... I guess I will," I turn toward the cash registers and notice that Jake is standing there. He was already paid for his stuff but came back for me, and now, he is glaring at Cupid. "Oh, your man is back, so I should get moving." "Thank you again... err... what is your name?" He turns around, smirking. "Maddox Daniels," he winks at me again, grinning. "If you need more relationship advice, just look up my number. I'm down for helping other idiots in love. My wife is used to it."
