​Before the engine could even cut out, the heavy oak front door of the main house slammed open. ​"Look who finally decided to bring the hostage!" a loud, booming voice echoed across the lawn. ​Jacob "Jake" Bill lounged on the porch railing, a half-eaten green apple in one hand and a basketball spinning effortlessly on the index finger of his other. Jake was nineteen, six-foot-one, with a messy, sun-bleached brown crew cut and sharp green eyes that always looked like they were searching for the nearest source of entertainment. He was Mike's childhood shadow—wherever Mike went, Jake was usually raiding the fridge or causing a scene close behind.

"And who are you to speak in this matter? Who gave you the right?" Jake’s expression doesn’t change, but there’s a glint in his eyes—one I’ve never seen before. He steps even closer, his voice calm but carrying an authority that surprises me. "I have every right to speak in this matter," he begins, his tone unwavering. "Just as much as any of you." He pauses, letting the tension in the air build before dropping the bombshell. "And as far as my identity is concerned, I am Jake Adkins." The moment the name leaves his lips, a ripple of shock moves through the councilmen. Their faces pale slightly, eyes widening in recognition.

Jake still hadn't told her where they were going for their honeymoon. The Honeymoon! Jake took her to a Canadian park. There were lots of trees and gorgeous lakes. "Oh my god Jake it is breathtaking here. Secluded and yet not far from the city." Rae gasped. "I knew you'd love it here. A friend of mine owns the cabin. If you don't mind, I'd like to pay him a visit. The Canadian parks are beautiful." Jake explained. "I don't mind. Is he a wolf?" She asked. "Yes. He's Alpha of the Moonlight pack. I thought we could talk to him about the mating party you started. It's a bit far to travel, but he may be interested." Jake explained.

All you do all day is stay home and paint! Is he lying to give a good impression? Ryder narrowed his eyes at Jake. Sly fox! "What job?" Henry asked. Calmly, Jake picked up his fork and knife and looked at Henry, secretly feeling quite confident. Yet he didn't dare to look at Ryder when he answered. "I own a few galleries in a couple of towns and work as a writer too. I have published a few books so far and I'm recently working on a new one." As he said this, the expressions on Michelle and Henry got better, but Ryder kept staring at Jake like she was seeing him for the first time. This is Jake, right? My Jake? When.... How... Why don't I know anything about this!!!

Alpha Jackson challenges. “I understand and I am getting to what I know. I guess one question I have for you Alpha Jackson – do you have any known enemies?” Drake asks. Alpha Jackson chuckles, “You don’t get to this stage of my life, in this role and not make a few enemies along the way young man. I grab my phone, ruffling my hair a little before walking downstairs. Jake is leaning against the front door, scrolling through his phone. He's wearing a black t-shirt with black ripped jeans. He'd finished his look off with a gorgeous looking watch on his wrist. Every time he moves, it catches the light perfectly. His dark hair is sprawled messily across his head, thick strands falling over onto his forehead. I clear my throat and Jake glances up at me, smiling softly when his eyes meet mine. He slides his phone away into his pocket and stretches out his hand —

That is all. ‘Mate! Mate!’ Mina is screaming in my mind. “Look how handsome he is!’ She isn’t wrong to be fair. He is tall, muscular. With a headful of dark hair, short at the sides, but flopping into his face. His eyes are a piercing grey. And such a strong jaw, defined further by the stubble dotted along it. “Jake this Rose Cartwright” the woman next to him smiles “Rose, this is our Beta and business partner, Jake Joseph. I am Lilah Winters. My husband Knox is back at the pack at the moment, but is able to come along if you should need him to attend”

Even senior hunters like Kiara Decker, Grisha Frowler, and Akash Bakshi did not make any less of him. Jake was also famous for having a very lackadaisical personality. He detested going to events, parties, and even inter-clan meets. He rarely competed for battle tournaments and leaderboards positions. When several clans' prodigies were trying to earn a name for themselves and their clans, Jake rarely came out of his lukewarm bubble. Even his clan members were stressed about his fickle behavior. This had led others to believe that Jake Collins was a vulgar and unpleasant guy.

His arms instantly engulfed her in a hug as he whispered something in her ear for only her to hear, made her giggle in response. The other three girls starred them in awe. Jake was a senior. He was in the last year of university pursuing a degree in business. Whilst the girls were in their second semester. Selena and Mary were pursuing business, whereas Linda and Rosella were in the doctorate section. Jake had wavy blonde hair which was always tied in a man bun. His chocolate brown eyes were so brown that you could see your reflection in it. His body was fit due to being the captain of the basketball team.
