Jake Maddox Author Novels & Stories

“Correct what? Just ignore him.” I grabbed my notebook from the table, shoved it into my backpack, and aggressively zipped it shut. “Was everything actually alright last night, though?” Tina asked, her voice dropping to a softer, more concerned tone. “Maddox looked like a man ready to tear down a brick wall.” “He practically did tear down a wall just to get to Jace,” Norman added, crossing his arms. “And it’s wild that you can’t even appreciate how good that was.” “If you had been there to see how he was acting… Honestly, I would have punched him right in the face if he wasn’t Maddox Donovan,” Tina said, her eyes narrowing. I knew her well enough to know she wasn't exaggerating.

"I love Blake but sometimes the trust comes between us and I feel like even though he has told me most he hasn't told me the whole truth. But I can't really say much cause I haven't exactly been forth coming about my past either. I just don't know where to start with him. He scares me sometimes because well he's larger then life in all ways. He's also strong but yet so kind and gentle. Did he take you to see Jada?" J nodded "she's a beautiful cat and those cubs are something else." “How would you figure a man like that could catch her by himself?" "He's got skill and talent." "More then you know" Mackayla mumbled. "Ohhh. Do tell?" "We just made a deal." "He was saying something about that. A

We spent hours and hours trying to figure out where my mate could have been taken to . The abandoned cabin was in alpha Jake's pack . Which was a neighbouring territory. "If they offer you money, take it, if they don't, you write it down in this book. They might not look it, especially Simon here who doesn't look part of the living, but they self-monitor pretty well and they'll come pay their tabs by the end of the month, you don't need to worry about that though." "Ok." I nod again, feeling like one of those dogs a few of my foster parents had in the front of their cars. "Tell me a bit about yourself, Jake. How did you end up with Maggie?" I must look horrified by his demand to know about my life, because he goes back to expression number two, dropping his grin and narrowing his eyes again.

I approached him slowly, my recorder running. “You called?” I said. He nodded, but didn’t stand. Just shifted his weight like the bench might eat him. “Talk,” I said. He sniffed. “Jax Maddox is not who people think he is. The media loves their sad little stories, but they don’t know what he did. How he cut off his mother after she raised him. After she begged him to help.” “He has a mom?” I raised my tone, feigning surprise. He scoffed, “don’t try playing games with me. I worked at one of the hospitals where she was referred to,” he said, his voice a little too rehearsed. “She was broke. Sick. Said her son wouldn’t return her calls or come to visit.”

“Nothing. A total rarity. Usually I try to visit Maddy on Sunday, but she’s still in Switzerland, and having a lot of fun. She says she’s been totally untouched by the scandal there.” “That’s great, Jake .” She could see the relief on his face and it made her feel the same feeling, swelling inside of her. She knew how much he loved Maya, knew even more now. She felt as though she could feel his emotions sometimes, as though her own matched his. Jake was enjoying Kalia’s newfound boldness in bed. Even now she was sitting up with her breasts bare, acting as though she hardly noticed. He noticed. She was truly the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen naked. And he had seen his share.

Jake chuckled, and then moved his body closer to her, while pulling her towards himself so that he was back hugging her. "I wasn't even the one who loaded the pictures, that's all Micheal," he said, in between his chuckles. "Whatever," Maddie mumbled, too jealous to care. "I am serious. I haven't looked at any of the nudes on my phone. I am only interested in the nakedness of one woman and I know one of these days my eyes would get to feast on her perfect nudity while I have her." Jake deliberately leaned so closely to the space between her neck and ear, his hot breath fanning her as he spoke so shamelessly.

"You don't remember? Junior year, my brother Jake. You and your crew jumped him after that hot summer party over some stupid beef about a girl. Y'all Beat him so bad he dropped out and couldn't face school. The stares and the pain ruined his life. I've waited years to pay you back. When Maddox approached me, said you stole his girl and offered cash to help—he didn't have to ask twice." Maddox clapped slowly whilst laughing. "Enemy of my enemy, right? Kylie's tech-savvy—hacked the forums and set up Anonymous with her boyfriend Trent. Perfect team right?" How cinematic, So he really made all this preparations just to capture me? Wow. “You did a great job Maddox, all of you. But now that you've

"Jake, I want to celebrate today, but not because Marcus is going to prison. I want to celebrate because I'm finally completely free from the fear and shame he tried to make me carry." Jake's smile was understanding and encouraging. "Emma, how do you want to celebrate?" Emma stood up and moved to her laptop, opening the document that had been waiting for this moment. "I want to finish the dedication for my next book. The one I've been saving until this was all over." Jake joined Emma at her desk as she opened the dedication page she'd been crafting. *For Jake...* *Who showed me that the best partnerships enhance rather than exploit,* *That authentic love makes people braver rather than small

Grandpa David added. “And we’ve heard of Jake and Jace’s reputations, but are they all true?” Grandpa Theo asked back. No one said a word after that because he was right — every Alpha had been smeared with a bad reputation, depending on who you asked. “I already asked trackers to give me more information about him, his females, past and present, and the people he killed,” Jace stated. “Maddox’s current Beta is not his original Beta, and there were rumors he was the one that killed him.” Alpha Jake added.
