I did most of my work from the pack territory, but still had to visit the office once every other week for board meetings. I parked the car in the CEO space just as Liam’s phone rang. “Jamie,” Liam said in the phone and then listened for a bit, “What, already? I’m impressed man, I mean I know you are good but even for you this is impressive.” I gave him a look and he held the phone away from his ear. “Jamie has a full profile on our naughty werewolf,” he said and I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

My boots echoed across the floor, a sound that made the youngest of them take a step back. “You lost her, a pregnant woman with a child?” I repeated, tasting the fury like blood. “You had one task. Bring her back. And you’re standing here empty-handed.” Jonas bowed lower. “We tried, Alpha. We tracked her through the storm, but Liam… he…” The moment that name left his mouth, my vision went red. “Liam,” I said, softly, dangerously. “You saw him? And you allowed him to escape? With her?”

There was a small wide door that Liam knocked on, and it was opened by a man the size of the Hulk. "Hey man, have you seen Jax?" Liam stuck his hand out and they did a stupid man-hug with the guy before he let us in. "Yeah, he went to his office, why?" He looked over at me and smiled when he looked me up and down. "We have a new fighter." He said with a smile. "Well, in that case," He moved around Liam and came to stand by me. "Hey, I'm Jamie." I laughed when he kissed my hand.

Jamie mutters. Jamie has more than seven-hundred-thousand followers on Instagram and even more than that on YouTube. All she does really is upload photos and videos of her outfits, hair and makeup every day (plus the occasional rant about hipsters) – but she's doing something right. Some of her vlogs have over a million views. She says she doesn't care about being popular – it's all practice living in front of a camera, the perfect preparation for her future career in Hollywood. Personally I think she just likes all the attention.

Ken looked sad for whatever reasons. “Grace, in one of the magazines that I was reading sometimes back, I saw someone saying can connect people to work abroad. He was based in Mombasa; his name is Abdul Aziz and this is his number.” Ken showed me a Safaricom Number that began with 079—- “Ehe! Go on.” I urged him.

~~18 years old~~ Trevor alighted from the old beat-up truck he often drove and sprinted inside the clinic. He halted by the reception desk and puffed out a breath whilst holding his side. The blonde sitting in the tiny cubicle tilted her slender brows as she stared at him. "I am Trevor Williamson. My mom is here." The receptionist, whose name on her badge reads Charity nodded. She fixed the glasses she had slid down her nose to assess the boy who looked to be in his late teenage years back to her face.

Jamie exclaimed, "They managed to scare us off. How embarrassing and humiliating!" "You're kidding, right? It'd be even more embarrassing to stick around any longer," Lydia countered as she suppressed the pain in her wrist. Lydia then retrieved her phone, opened the browser, and found a picture of Jonah Taylor, the president of KS Group. Jamie peered over her shoulder. When she saw the picture, she gasped, "Isn't this the guy we saw earlier? He's the president of KS Group!"

I mean, don’t rob a bank, just… get someone who would do stupid things with you just to make you happy, I have a friend like that, and his name is Jeremy. “As much as I’d appreciate that J, I’d rather we just drink our boos and wait for it to happen, but trust me. I have a plan…” I smirked He didn’t argue further, we just sat there, watching TV and drinking boos. ~~~Few minutes later~~~
