“What are you trying to say, Jasmine?”
“My son needs his father.”
“Then take him to his father,” I suggested. “You can’t use Alexander’s name to fix your own situation.”
Jasmine’s face crumpled, and she seemed on the verge of tears. “Then let Alexander go,” she cried out, her voice echoing through the small room. “You’re the reason he doesn’t have time for me or our son.”
Jasmine’s demeanor shifted abruptly. The tears vanished, replaced by a cold, smirking expression that sent a shiver down my spine. "Oh, Fiona," she said with a bitter edge. "I didn’t realize you were so naive."
