"You've improved." Finally, she'd taken a step toward him. James knew what Beverly had been like when she'd been with Evan. She'd been dependent and had trusted Evan with her whole heart. Yet, she wasn't like that with James. Instead, she was always cautious, hesitant, and holding back. James kissed Beverly, his hand gently resting over her heart. Winning her heart was truly difficult. "Our marriage wasn't registered in this country," he murmured by her ear. In the passenger seat, Jessica listened to the sounds from the back seat. Her hands were clenched so tightly that bloody marks appeared, and the flames of jealousy within her threatened to burst forth.

James grabbed Smirt's hand and released it roughly. "Can't I get to know my daughter-in-law...when did you get married? Is she Natasha the poor woman you married." Tessa growled as she heard the old man seemingly demeaning the woman married to James. Tessa did not know who James' wife Natasha was before but, it was not too much to discuss wealth here.

James revealed. "Five years? That's quite some time." "But we still had sex during that time, even though we weren't in love," James admitted with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I can't believe you two were intimate even without being in love. I'd be so embarrassed," Avery chuckled, finding the situation amusing. "Well, we were married and under pressure to have children. It led to the birth of our son Alex. Why are you so surprised? You've only been married to David for two weeks, and you two have already been intimate," James teased her.

"Are you insinuating something here, James?" James outright raised his arms in surrender. "Not at all, dude. I’m just relaying the information I've gotten. As per reports, it would seem that he is only in love with your wife. He does not play around; he has no side hustles, and even if the relationship between them ended, he never stopped caring for her."

And he's not sure if I'm someone he can trust. "I'm with you, Mr. Greg. I even ask James for marriage. And he won't send you to see me if I'm not with him." He finally nods. "He has people preparing the way for him even before he got his final verdict." My eyes fly wide. "How?" Mr. Greg's eyes turn sharp, perhaps wondering why I don't know about it, granting that I just claimed that I'm with them. "Hmm, Mr. Greg, James didn't want me to be in his world because of the baby. So, to be safe, he keeps things from me. But I want to help. How can I do it if I'm blind to his plans?"

James said happily. "Is she your wife by any means?" Leslie asked jokingly. "Was I too obvious?" James asked putting his hand over his mouth to conceal his teeth that were in full display. "Yes you were," Jessica said with a smile putting the cap of the pen back on and dropping it on the document. She felt good to see that love still lived and that a husband would readily recommend his wife. The money could be a driving factor but it was heartwarming to see. "The money is not leaving the family now is it?" Leslie teased.

He was married after all. I walked into my room, and shut the door behind me. As I spotted Liam sleeping on the bed, I felt relieved that I didn't have to pet him to sleep. I was so tired already. As I walked to my closet, the thought that Trisha cared about Jace's money made me feel bad for him. Did it seriously mean that that lady didn't like him at all? What sort of marriage was that? Indeed, I could now get the reason why Jace always felt terrible about his wife. And how could they have been together for only eight months, although they were married for three years? So sad.

I asked. Her grin widened. "I am a member of the Levrone family," she laughed. "Adam's family owns a big share of the airport's stocks. They can't let me wait outside. Not unless they want to close down." I smiled. She was really basking in the respect that came with her marriage. "You look really good," I said truthfully. "I wish I could say the same about you," she said and we both laughed. "What happened, Avery?" She asked. I immediately sobered up and without knowing, my laugh turned into nerve-wracking sobs that shook my whole being.

I released Jessica and stared amongst the two of them, suspiciously. “Greggory?” I asked; I wasn’t sure which of the two I was speaking to. The last time I heard from Jessica was a couple of months ago when she linked me during my hunt and told me she caught Greggory having sex with his luna. Jessica had expressed to me that she and Greggory were mates, even though Greggory was married. However, he had told Jessica that he was planning on leaving his luna soon so that the two of them could finally be together.
