It wasn't a casual question; it was a demand wrapped in a purr. Hazel launched herself off the couch with a startled shriek. Her sudden movement sent the plate wobbling dangerously on her knees. She scrambled to catch it, but her elbow knocked into the glass of orange juice resting on the side table. The bright orange liquid sloshed violently over the rim, splashing onto the coaster and her bare thigh. “Dammit!” she gasped, clutching her plate to her chest, her heart doing a violent somersault.

In an instant, every eye in the room turned toward me. Jasmine's expression turned completely cold. She walked up to me. Her voice carried a hint of disappointment. "Sebastian, are you really that desperate for money?"

"Are we going to hop in there and reappear in the Underworld?" Jinx asked the trio but none of them even flinched. "Never mind, far be it from me to disrupt a complicated spell. But I do have some serious magic of my own. I could help. Got a Chariot." Jinx started ticking off the cards he could throw down to give them a boost. "Eight of Wands? Three of wands. That's good for contemplating fucked up journeys. I'm just saying."

She said dragging me with her. ### We were at the most crowded place in Mumbai. The Juhu beach! "I have chosen the most crowded place for us to chill." Nida smirked. "But you hate the crowd you introverted freak?" I questioned her I hated the crowd too. Especially, thanks to a special someone who's always surrounded by a crowd. She nodded. "True.... that's why we're here. Doing something we hate the most to distract ourselves from other problems for a while." "Why? What problem did you get yourself into?" I asked her.

When he does, I’ll be right here waiting. An hour drags by. I’m scrolling through my phone when it suddenly buzzes with a message from Echo. Need you at church. ASAP. Fuck. I don’t want to go. I type back quickly. Can I join through video? I’m a little tied up right now. Ten minutes later my phone rings. I answer and the video call pops up. The second I see the screen, I freeze. “What the fuck happened?” I ask. Jinx is sitting there with fresh blood smeared across his face and shirt.

I stood my ground, it was hard for a wolf to force a shift if the human and wolf bond was strong and normal Jinx and I were on the same page and completely in sync. Occasionally I had to over ride his feral idiot ass and suspected this was why the Moon Goddess had named this wolf spirt Jinx. He was a blessing but his over excited big emotions had the potential to make him a Jinx. If not controlled Jinx would be a menace to society. He surged again
