Karen and Tres’s father shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
“Sup, James?” said Joey with a smirk.
He punched his shoulder playfully. “Same old, same old. Missed you, bro.”
Joey nodded. “Me too. So, you’re Tres?” the boy mistakenly asked Matt.
Tres’s brother shook his head. “No, I’m actually cool. Four-eyes there is Tres.”
“Shut up!” snapped Tres before turning to Joey. “How’s the tablet?”
“Awesome,” the boy said, his eyes gazing far off into some unknown distance. “Thank you, for real.”
