The air smelled of roasted meat and earth, and underneath it all was the sound of life: pups chasing one another, mothers gossiping, warriors arguing over strategy while pretending they weren’t off-duty. Joey clapped her hands once, loudly enough to draw everyone’s attention. “Alright, listen up! Today we’re breaking the monotony. We’ve fought, we’ve bled, we’ve sulked in our rooms” her eyes flicked dramatically to Devon, who only blinked at her “but today, we play.” The warriors groaned. Someone shouted, “Play what?” Joey grinned wickedly. “Everything.” The first game was tug-of-war. “ My point exactly” My parents widened their eyes before dashing up the stairs as though they were on fire. The rest of us enjoyed breakfast and made small talk. We learned a long time ago that whenever Joey makes no noise then he's up to some mischief. It's not always funny, sometimes we have heart attacks, and other times we laugh and take pictures. Little Jojo is not going to be two forever. A few minutes later, Joey walked in looking as white as ever. “ White looks good on you” I whistled. He gave me his charming grin, showing his adorable teeth of four. Trotting over with his little legs, I placed him on my lap.

“Might as well see the other rooms too.” I quietly make my way to Joey’s room, his name is indented on a plate number on the door. Opening the door slightly, I poke my head into the room before her body follows. The room is very simple. It’s painted navy blue and white. I’m actually surprised at how neat the room is, the only things on the floor are dumbbells and papers. I take a closer look at the papers to find that they’re drawings. “Joey draws?” I ask myself, surprised. On the wall are also a few pictures pinned down.

"It's me, Joey." My pencil pauses over my drawing. Joey had owned the beach house beside mine, alongside Louis, her boyfriend. I haven't heard from them in ages, mainly because I have avoided going anywhere near that beach house like it has the plague. There were too many memories there. I'm happy to be hearing from her again after so long. "Joey, it's great to hear from you again. How have you been doing? Is Louis there with you?" I bombard her with a series of questions.

"Dada, come back. Joey misses Dada." "Soon, Joey, soon. You need to be a good boy while I'm not there, you hear?" "Yes, Dada!" "What is your mommy doing?" Joey was stunned. Then he looked down sadly. "No Mama… No…" He thought Jeremy was talking about Anya, but Joey did not want to see her as his mother since she would always scold and hit him. Jeremy rubbed the bridge of his nose. "What is your sissy doing?" Joey looked at Corinne with shiny eyes. "Auntie Sissy lying next to Joey! She good. Joey likes Auntie Sissy!"

Brandon said nothing to me all the way home but I knew he had been searching for me. When I got home, I went and thought about the whole day and then it led to a lot of thoughts about different things and before I knew it , I was drawing a picture on what I thought my perfect family would look like. Then the door opened and I hid it instantly. It was Joey and he came in and sat next to me. "It's okay, you can show me, I promise not to burn it." He said and I looked at him reluctantly before bringing it out. "Is this the family you had?" He asked and I shook my head.

it was all silent, I couldn't find Joey around the premises. Maybe he was busy with other things. I was about to attend to the file in my office when Joey appeared from nowhere startling me. " Fuck you, Joey! I swear I am gonna kill ypu," I swore, glaring at him. " Hold it, I still have so many cuties to grab onto before dying. Just give me some centuries," he said, grinning. " You should have thought about them before startling me, " I said, staring dagger at him. " Fine, I give up."

They reached a nearby cafe for their meal which Jenny had chosen for its quiet environment in order to break the news to Joey. "So, how's school? Are you holding up okay?" Jenny asked after they were finished with their orders. Joey was an intelligent student, having been able to become a high school senior even though he was just sixteen years of age. "Yeah. My teachers say I can easily make it to the country's top university if I keep this up." Joey beamed. He felt happy with his current progress, only focusing on his studies and not worrying about anything else. Jenny nodded approvingly, but before she could continue, Joey suddenly asked, "But you came to meet me to tell me something else

Once the three days were up, she would make Javier pack up and leave. While she felt victorious, her door was opened and in came Wilson Jolley. Wilson Jolley was the chairman of Gerra Construction Corp and Joey’s high school friend. It was said that they had been together when they were younger but had broken up somewhere down the line. Now, though, Wilson was divorced and Joey was widowed, so they had an inkling of an intention to rekindle their old flame. Wilson went over to Joey the moment he entered. “It’s been decided that the pond will be built at the southwest corner of the school, right? I have already started the excavation.”

Gaby saw Travis making signs to the others to hurry. “It’s up to you to take care of him. Let’s see if it can handle many opponents regardless of how good he is. Take Gaby and bring her to me!” Travis ordered them. Joey’s got eight opponents. He doesn’t leave the post long to keep the men away from Gaby. Gaby couldn’t believe it; she was watching Joey. It amazed her at his speed and skill and the speed of his kicks, and his defense. No one could hardly see what was happening.
