I think Joey enjoys putting me through this misery because she's been laughing at me since we started. "You can do it, Luna, keep going!" It's been two weeks since I arrived at this pack, and Joey is the only person I have formed a sort of camaraderie with. I didn't really hang out with anyone else but her—but she could have still been mean to me like the others, yet she's not, and I'm really glad.

I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him once more. "Have you girls been keeping her company?" Korey asks JoJo, which reminds me. "So, why didn't I know you have a sister?" I ask Korey. "Well, baby, it never came up. We've been pretty busy practicing, and when we're not practicing, we're engaged in other things," Korey explains, winking at me. I playfully slap his arm, and we get back to watching the other surfers. Korey wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close. "Are you having fun?" he whispers in my ear.

The girls say that she is the walking proof that dynamite comes in small packages. Jolene; the mother figure. Turns out she is actually Joey’s older sister; one year his senior at 18 years old. She is kind, easy going and extremely easy to talk too. She looks a lot like Joey in fact; they share the same unique black eyes, chocolate brown hair and tall physique, it’s almost scary.

Logan and Kingston also noticed this but didn't press into it. After dinner, we told her to call her friend while we cleaned up. We don't usually clean anything around here but every once in a while, cleaning is therapeutic and it also gives us time to talk about Joey. “What do you think about Joey's situation?” I asked them with my voice just above a whisper. Kingston shrugged, making Logan look at him with a sympathetic smile. Kingston never suspected his brother for anything, if I weren't an only child, I would probably never think my siblings could do something like that.

Denver I never meant to look at Eunice that way. Not once in the five years I'd known her. She was always just Paulo's kid sister, quiet, sweet, trailing behind her cousins with those shy smiles and soft "hi's," treating me like another safe, overprotective big brother. Off-limits. "She is my sister" Jason revealed reluctantly and that's because some of his teammates had seen her pictures in his phone during their freshman year and he had blurted out that she was his sister then. He was afraid that some of them will recognize her and it will be too bad if Douglas keep calling her his girlfriend. "Really? No wonder I find her a little bit familiar. Julius has a copy of her picture, he broadcasted it to everyone that time that she was your sister and his future wife. To be on a safe side, don't let Julius see her."

"Right, you hang out a lot with Arata, right?" Joey looked at me with his face flushed. "N-Not really. A-Arata, just hang a-around with me because we're classmates." He said as he looked at the ground while we walked towards the cafeteria. "I-I don't have a-any friends." Hearing that made me feel like we're really the same. "I also only have Mitch, but now it's difficult to even consider me as his friend," I said, trying to make him feel better, but that just made him look at me with tearful eyes. "O-Oh, I didn't say that to make you feel bad." I patted Joey's back to comfort him.

Thoughts of the new job, the horrible new boss and Jared always popping up to help her raced through her mind before she finally slipped off to sleep. “Jo, I’m headed out! I’ll be back late, a few of us are going to the student council party tonight to get free goodies, so I will eat there, have fun shopping, buy something nice to wear!” Josey could barely wake up to the words her sister shouted from the front door.
