Just then, a black mustang pulled into the parking lot and Jake came out. He saw me and walked towards us smiling. "Hi, Chris," Jake said. "Hi, yourself," Chris replied. Then they did that bro-hug thing. "Wait, you guys know each other?" I was surprised. "Yeah. We have most classes together. And who wouldn't know him? He's new." Chris said.

“So what’s your question?” I stared at his good-looking face. I just noticed now that his eyes were pitch black and every time he blinks, the color suddenly changes into golden brown. His face gets closer to me, but not close enough that we would kiss. Just enough for us to see each other clearly and closely. Jacob is already twice my age, his son is years older than me. And yet he remained that silent power within him. “I really don’t have any question. I just wanted to say something since it seemed like we’re just gonna spend the whole time in this room with silence.”

The old warehouse had been empty for a few months, but with generators connected, the music playing, and the bikes all parked in sections, it looked like the perfect way to spend the day.
