Jade’s pov Jacob came over for dinner and chatted the whole time, telling me about his job and the alpha. And how everything was better now that Alpha Ivar was in charge. ‘He’s really making some changes. Alpha Soren was fine and all, but he lacked ambition. Alpha Ivar wants to expand and grow. He has a long term plan for our pack’. Sally told Jacob how I was planning on going to school here for my last semester and needed a part time job. ‘I have some experience in a butcher shop’ I told them ‘or I can work the counter at a grocery store?’. Sally asked Jacob if he could show me around tomorrow and look for a job. She would handle registering me at school. I noticed it was silent for a while

My school is neutral grounds, a place where werewolf packs can't chop each other's heads off and where other monsters can relax. Jacob belongs to the second category. He is a vampire, and I feel sorry for him. The guy is tall and skinny, stuck forever in that funny state when his body was supposed to go through puberty. His enormous nose doesn't suit his face, and his clown shoes make him quite comical-looking. "Thank you, Jacob." I smile despite not trusting the guy. " he says to Godzilla. "Time to meet your old mates baby. I'll make sure to tell them you will now be mine which after I'll kill them." he pull me in for a sloppy kiss which I struggle to break free. I wipe my lips once he's done looking at him with hate. "Get her out of here and make sure she doesn't escape." Just as I'm being dragged along I turn back at the sounds of bones breaking to see a hideous creature of dark magic replace Jacob who snarled into the night before he ran out through the window.

Kade cut me off. I couldn’t even speak. Morgan was probably about to run out of here, screaming her fucking head off. Any second now. “Okay.” WHAT?! “Why did you say, Morgan?” I asked. “I said okay. I’ve seen Twilight, and you know how I felt about Jacob. There’s no fucking way these four guys could be anything but werewolves. They’re too big and muscular and downright sexy as hell. So … okay.” She looked back at Kade and gave him a sly grin. “Kade, Beta of the Blue Moon pack and my supposed mate, let’s do this thing.”

I pursed my lips before getting to my feet, walking over to one of the shelves. “That could be the case, there should be an index of all past Alpha Primes of North America.” I whispered, looking through the books. “I could have sworn I saw it was he… there it is.” I pulled it out of the shelf and walked back to my table, Liam joined me and I flipped through the book, scanning through their biography which also listed their powers until I came up to Jacob. One week. Seven days. One hundred and sixty eight hours... since I've heard from both Caleb and Jacob. Every time I take the twins to see Jackson, Caleb's gone with ... with Sarah. He's been eyeing you all night!” Jacob is one of the boys living at the training house. He is absolutely hot, but his attitude is even worse. He takes being arrogant to another level, but for some reason, he's always mellow around me. I didn't really notice him because all my attention has been on Miles.

Valen listens, but his hand stays lightly on my thigh, fingers brushing idle circles that make my cheeks warm. Lira leans back, laughter bright in her eyes as she trades barbed jokes with Thalen. “You always drink too fast,” she teases him, tipping her goblet toward him. “Someday you’ll drink yourself into a tree and forget how to fly.” He winks back. “I’d rather drink myself into a good night with a pretty woman than remember how to fly.” The table echoed with laughter. When his hand wanders under my shirt, I pull away to stop him and say, “Someone will see us… “ “It’s too dark.” He says, then kisses me again. This time I let go. Jacob has magic in his hands. His hand makes its way up my waist and my whimpers turn louder. He breaks our kiss and whispers, grinning, “Be quiet. Someone will report us for indecency… “ “Then stop it!” I exclaim breathlessly. “Ohh... I think I am only getting started..” He grins and slides his hand inside my trousers while biting my earlobes. I gasp and try to resist. But soon I give in and arch my back.

“The last rumor I heard about him was that he was gagged and bound and the witches drained his blood so they could create hybrids,” At his last statement, Jacob levels me with a stern look and I frown at him. We both know Liam is NOT being drained by witches. Witches don’t trifle with us and we don’t trifle with them. And he sure as shit isn't fighting these Alphas gagged, bound and bloodless. “Is any of that even remotely true?” I ask with a scoff. Jacob shrugs.
