The Evil Fae Meets Her Match
Lisa Chronister
She figured it was worth singing it for some information.
She got up and started singing, "There's a fire starting in my heart, Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out the dark,
finally I can see you crystal clear,
go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your ship bare."
The crowd went wild. She was so nervous, she was sweating. The bartender brought her a second mead, and a bowl of soup.
"The soups on the house, you did an amazing job."
She was grateful for the soup she was starving, but it made her sad. This soup was good, but not as good as Tom's had been, and now she will never have it again.
