The journey took two weeks.
The terrain grew harsher—barren plains, jagged mountains, forests of blackened trees. The Soulless watched from the shadows, but they didn't attack. They were herding the team toward the tower.
"Let them," Elias said. "We're going where they want us anyway."
The tower rose from the center of a desolate valley, dark and twisted, its surface covered in runes that pulsed with cold light. At its base, a door stood open—a door into the void.
