I took the pack and turned toward the west without looking back. The journey took three days. I traveled through terrain that grew increasingly harsh, the gentle slopes of Crimson territory giving way to jagged rocks and deep canyons. The air grew thinner, colder, and the signs of life grew scarce. No birds sang here. No animals moved in the undergrowth. The Badlands lived up to their name. On the third evening, I reached the river Mentor had described. It was wide and fast, the water black in the fading light, and on the far bank, I saw my first sign of the wolves I had come to find.

Xiao Chen felt that the two were mocking him, which made him a little upset and angry, but his grandmother suddenly said something. "I have a good place, suitable for my grandson to go through the disaster. Why not the western border? More precisely, the place where the land of death is located. If I'm not mistaken, if you do it there, it won't cause harm to others. Besides, that place is uninhabited!" said the grandmother, causing Xiao Chen to fall silent for a moment before thinking that it was a place worth trying. There were four borders on the western continent, three of which belonged to the empire and one was in the hands of people who refused to submit to it. Even though all the port

The journey west took longer than expected. The terrain shifted from forests to plains, from plains to deserts, from deserts to jagged mountains that seemed to scrape the sky. Elias led the team—Ronan, Elara, Kael, and a dozen of the pack's finest warriors—across landscapes that few wolves had ever seen. "According to the Council's map, the breach is in a valley beyond these peaks," Ronan said, studying the worn parchment. "How far?" Elias asked.

"Need company on the trail?" Lena, Sara, and Tom joined. "One last trip with the elders. We come along." The traveler, named Finn, sat down. "My pack lives far west. Got turned around during storms. Threats on the roads." Dane nodded. "We guide you back. Reflect on our journey while we walk. Stories help the miles pass." Ezra packed light bags. "Final adventure feels right. Love, battles, and shaping future. All of it." They set out brisk. Trail talk started immediately.

"Isa, why don't you tell your dad about your Sky Girls Concert Experience?" She sent a silent prayer to the heavens for her quick thinking when the somber mood was lifted and the teen became excited all over again as she dived into the tale. Mission accomplished. ***** William pulled up in front of Louisa's house a little after ten p.m. The ride had been fun but Isabel had fallen asleep along the way and who could blame her really? The day had been super packed with activity. The two had settled into a comfortable silence after that and it felt, just right.

Somehow I began to regret coming on this journey, but my regret was little compared to my anticipation of seeing my son. We continued to ride. I started to hear voices and whispers; someone or something was calling out to me. It sounded like the voice of a child. I was trying to listen and make out what the whispers were about when a heavy wind blew in my direction with the force to push my horse, but I didn't fall, I stopped, and it whispered to me again. "This journey is not for you. Go back home. Your daughter needs you. Her life is in danger." The whisper was airy and cold.

In the thorny forest, walking was not much slower than driving Hummers. Besides, the march was very smooth and they did not run into monsters such as the Hell Soul Devouring Ant. It was about noon time when they arrived at destination marked on the map. It was at the foot of a mountain. The peak towered into the clouds, surrounded by clouds. It made people feel that the monsters described in "Journey to the West" would come. "Here we are. Let's have a rest."

A few characters stood out the most, "J.R.R. Tolkien, is that a name? Why does it sound so familiar? I know I have heard that name before. Tolkien… Tolkien… Tolkien... Ahh! Of course, how could I forget? We spent half a semester examining English writer and poet John Ronald Reuel Tolkien's work. One of them is, The Walking Song from The Lord of the Rings." Still, round the corner, there may wait A new road or a secret gate And though I often have passed them by, A day will come at last when I Shall take the hidden paths that run West of the Moon and East of the Sun. by J.R.R. Tolkien The Walking Song was a melody about the roads that go on until they finally return to what they have always k
