Jonathan sat by the window, focused on reading a picture book about the world of wild animals, when Teacher Ria walked over and sat beside him, asking kindly. “What are you reading, Jonathan?” Jonathan looked up and excitedly held the book cover toward her. “I am reading about the animal world. It says here that in the A****n rainforest there are pythons that are dozens of meters long. It is really fascinating.” The teacher smiled and affectionately patted Jonathan’s head.

The sun was high and hot now. Ava walked down from the big mountain. Her body felt heavy and warm from Kaelo, the Chief. She felt like a queen, but the jungle was waiting for her. The jungle was a wild place. It was full of big green leaves, bright flowers, and the smell of sweet fruit. She reached a place where the ferns grew very tall. The ferns were like a soft green wall. Suddenly, three shadows jumped out. It was Mako the Hunter and the Twins, Bane and Jiro.

Rosalie's POV The next hour found me sitting still and watching the wolf with me. I could not think of what to do. I most possibly was not thinking at all as I watched it.
