It's already afternoon when they got there. "Give me three minutes," Raze said, his eyes still shut. Not wasting any second, Jet went down the van and scanned the entrance of the forest. Like normal rainforests, it has lots of healthy and sturdy trees, mushrooms, birds and insects, and moist-looking, making Jet wonders why does no one came to this majestic area. Raze also got out of the car and went beside his partner, then gave the pen and paper to Jet while he sets up the camera.

Valentina’s POV The jungle was a green blur, branches clawing at my face as I stumbled through the undergrowth. Blood seeped from the gash at my waist, hot and sticky, soaking my torn shirt. The jaguar’s roar still echoed in my ears, its yellow piercing eyes burned into my memory. My legs burned, my lungs screamed, but I couldn’t stop. Not with Tariq Al-Mansour and his blood hound-like men somewhere behind me, breathing down my neck, their taunts slicing through the cicadas’ screech like knives.

“Have you approached this zombie horde before?” Jasper asked as he and Ben slowly advanced toward a group of snarling and grotesque creatures who were once normal looking humans. “Or, any zombie horde for that matter?” “Nope,” Ben said as he steadfastly moved forward. “I’m banking on that venom in your veins coming to our aid.” Shocked by this remark and furious with himself for not having the foresight to ask the question before they set out on this fool’s mission, Jasper bellowed, “What?”

They landed on the booklet the owner handed Flora earlier and flew away again. Flora did not move her sight away from the two visitors she had in her room until they left and grabbed that booklet.
