Just For Kicks Meaning Novels & Stories

I stared at her in complete confusion, my brain short-circuiting trying to figure out what the hell she meant. Jessica's eyes widened when she saw my expression, and she laughed. "Oh, you don't know what fighting means?" she asked. "It's a Korean thing—or Konglish term, actually. It just means 'all the best' or 'good luck' or 'you can do this.' It's encouragement." "Ohhh," I said, my mouth forming a perfect circle of understanding, feeling slightly embarrassed that I hadn't known that. Jessica's expression shifted then, becoming more serious, and I felt my stomach drop because I recognized that look.

The opposing team expresses their disappointment while my team cheers. I'm the fourth kicker, and I have limited time on the field. I hope we don't get three outs in a row. Unfortunately, luck isn't on my side this time. Out. Out. Out. The first kicker got out on the first try. The second reached second base but was tagged out, and the third kicker hit a high ball that someone managed to catch. Because he didn't turn around quickly enough, the second kicker couldn't make it back to first base in time. So, it's a two-for-one situation.

The shirt seemed slightly skin tight and highlighted his toned and bulky muscles underneath . " Sounds like harassment to me . Eh Alec ? " Michael raises his eyebrow and teases . Alec just shakes his head in response with a small smile . I turn red . " That.. that's not what I meant ! I .. the bullet could - you know it could - " I stutter , not knowing how to justify myself . It did sound weird but I swear I didn't mean it that way . " He's just messing with you . We know you're worried about him . " Alec says with a soft look .

" He winked at me. I averted my gaze uncomfortably. "That would be nice. I'd join you both to ignite my revenge." Joyce cackled, oblivious of my discomfort. "You won't be able to get away with it anyway, thanks to your gobbledygook tongue." He mumbled. "Hey, are you trying to insult me? What the hell is gobbledygook?" Joyce grumbled. I laughed slightly. "Don't worry babe, he made up the word. It doesn't exist." I soothed.

One day, I had promised, I would put it all on paper. I shook my head at them, trying desperately to hide my blush behind my untamed hair. Adelia gasped. "It is just about the most fun drinking game ever. Plus, you get to know the people around you. So, when it is my turn, I get to say a statement like, never have I ever kicked someone. If you haven't kicked someone ever, you drink. If you have, you can tell us why or when or where." Adelia explained. Light bounced off of her hair, lighting the red pigment beneath. Her smile was infectious.

I burst out laughing, not realizing what I was doing. “Why are you laughing?” His face was very serious. The laughing stopped immediately, and I turned to him, wondering what exactly I was going to do. “I'm sorry.” I apologized immediately, and he nodded. “Kick it.” I turned to him. “What?” “I said, kick it.” I looked at the dummy, and then him, and back again. Was he actually serious? “Kick it.” Confused, I raised my leg and sent a meager kick towards the pink rubbery thing. It shook slightly, regaining its original position almost immediately. It was a sad attempt.

He was her loyal knight, pouring her wine and serving her food, all the ruthless decisiveness of an Underboss erased. They were laughing and talking, and I was clearly not needed as a prop. I didn't want to waste any more time and looked for a chance to slip away. But Noa suddenly turned to me gracefully. "You must be Maeve. I've heard so much about you. The famous 'piano goddess of the underworld'." Caught off guard by being singled out, I quickly waved my hand. "Thank you, but that's an overstatement. Just some flattery from friends."

There was a series of powerful kicks. The inertia of the motorcycles, combined with Frederick's powerful kicks, sent the thugs flying through the air. As Jordan watched the scene, he opened his mouth in astonishment. He couldn't believe that it was possible to kick people whilst riding a bike. Moreover, was that kicking move the legendary Shadowless Kick? Jean waved her fist in excitement and shouted to Frederick, "Frederick, you're amazing! You're the best!" Jordan responded with a sneer. "Hehe, what's the big deal if he's still going to lose?"

Now I was breathing hard and it had nothing to do with sex. "Just that picture makes me harder." "That's because you're a kinky fool." "Only for you."

This time I feel a kick on my side. “Put your other hand over here,” I direct. It happens. “Whoa!” Jackson pulls his hands away, one flying to cover his mouth. “Did you feel that? I mean, I know you did. How weird does it feel?” “Put your hands back. You are missing some more kicks,” I encourage. “Both are moving now.” Jackson looks like a boy on Christmas morning. “They are really moving now. Orange juice must be like a double shot expresso for babies.”
