Just a minute before Justin arrived, there had been a total blackout in the whole neighborhood when the rain started falling. Everywhere was pitch black; Jessica hadn't even bothered to light up the house; she didn't know where to search or how to do that. The only other solution was putting on the generator which one of the security men had gone to do. Suddenly, the lights came back on, revealing Justin's deep-set features which stood out on his chiseled face. Marissa Justine was about to drop me off when the sound of footsteps on the stairs made both of us look up. For the first time that day, Isa let out a small, broken laugh. It was the same floppy hair, the same boyish vibe as old-school JB. Even in the middle of all this pain, that tiny laugh felt like a crack of light.

He teased flashing his fangs. I rolled my eyes replying icily. “You wouldn't dare claim me. Eric would not let it go lightly.” “Maybe you don't know me very well. Pissing off Eric is what I do best.” He smiled leaning closer to me. I realized I couldn't move further back or risk falling to the floor. “Besides I think you enjoyed it. Completely uncalled for Justin but I believe you would love to claim me for the solstice.”
