Chapter 13: We Kissed Kai’s P.O.V “You know you’re acting awfully suspicious, right?” Cole gave me a narrowed eyed look from over his coffee cup. “What happened to the bad boy of H University? The guy who dated left, right and centre without so much as caring if he was dating two women at the same time?”

Keira’s POV When I kissed him, that was his undoing. His eyes had darkened into a deeper shade when he broke away from the kiss, and I could see he wanted to do dirty slutty things to me. And I was more than ready for that. Hopeful even. I rolled my hips in the chair, my core throbbing as my skin buzzed with need. Clint dipped his hands down my panties. His delicate fingers rubbed smooth circles exactly where I needed them, feeling me up and teasing me into insanity.

'Damn a library in the house itself even if I spend my lifetime I won't be able to read half of the book in this place' Kai stares up at his phone screen while lying on the couch in the empty house, mess all over the place. Clothes were piled under his head like a pillow while his leg handing out from the other side. Bags are tied into a small coconut tree with a blue rubber band. Along with that black charcoal mask applied upon his face shining under the bright room. Reading the small dialogue box on the screen, The girl with the cashew nut-brown hair behind the dialogue box. Bags cover her eyes, making it seems as if she really has no eyes.

He heard small sniffles coming from her. She was crying. And it did something to him that he didn't like. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." She wiped her eyes and looked at him. He saw the faintest hand print on her face that was fading. That bastard! Kai grit his teeth. He should have ordered his immediate execution. "Do you need me to clean?" Karen asked, her voice shaky. "No." Kai said. He walked over to a shelf and took out a book. He tossed the book to Karen. She caught it and stared at it. "Sit there and read the book out loud."

“Where have you been?” “I was just outside. What's going—” She cut me off. “BloodClaw Pack is here.” My breath caught, but she continued, “Alpha Kairo is here.” My eyes grew wide. Well fuck.

That made Kaia stopped reading and closed her book, “Kaia, and I know you, you’re one of the popular kids.” Xander was taken aback at that, he was friendly alright, but he didn’t know he was popular. “So why are you here? I’m pretty sure you’re not here to watch a football game.” Kaia knew she sounded rude, but she doesn’t want to be another victim of those bets and truth or dares. “I’ve always wanted to approach you actually…” Xander said, his ears turning pink, “I always see you alone and reading books… I thought you could use a friend.”

Kathy hated people seeing her when she was comfortable. She tossed a fluffy cardigan on over the t-shirt she now wore and prayed it hid the fact she wasn’t wearing a bra, or anything else that hid the curves she wasn’t proud of. Kathy unlocked the door and frowned it as she opened it. “What is going on, Parker? Why are you here?” What she found fell beyond of her expectations. Parker stood there dressed as he’d been, but he carried several bags of takeout. “What’s this?” “It’s hot, let me in,” Parker insisted. He didn’t wait for her to step back. He needed to put this down. Parker stepped forward, forcing her by his physical presence to move or collide with him and the bags of takeout.

Then he snuggles up against my side, and I feel like my chest might burst. I read the book with animated voices for each character, something I learned from years of pack pups climbing onto my lap for stories, but this is different. This isn’t just a pack pup. This is Paige’s pup. This is our pup. I might not have given him my blood, but every instinct in me screams that he’s mine just as much as Ryder’s. Halfway through, Jax interrupts, whispering, “Parker?” “Yeah, bud?” “Do you think Greg misses me?”
