Bite Me Harder, Alpha
I raise the lamp again, already knowing this is a losing fight—he’s trained, and I’m just an angry grad student with a piece of furniture.
“Come on then,” I mutter under my breath. “Try me.”
Then the room explodes.
A roar rips through the air, deep enough to rattle my bones.
Kieran crashes in, already shifting—half man, half something else. His shoulders stretch too wide, claws black and lethal, his mouth pulling back over sharpened teeth.
He lifts the man by the throat with one hand. A low, vibrating growl fills the room, so strong my teeth chatter.
Why can’t I look away? Why am I not afraid? This is insane.
