I looked over to see that the Bog People were on foot, moving fast, and nearly upon us. “Get Tova to cover!” I yelled to Chaz, pulling my mace from my saddle bag. I saw that Tova had pulled out her sword and held one in her hand and the other was controlling Bo. I saw Chaz struggle with his horse to get to Tova and then his horse went down, an arrow coming from its side. With a scream of rage, Tova hurled her sword at the enemy who had shot at Chaz and then pulled the other one just as her first sword impaled a Bogman. With another battle cry, she raced Bo right into the group of Bog People.

He nodded and with a heavy voice said, “Aurora? I will keep this in mind.” After he had spoken, he looked at Hanson and asked, “Why did you help us?” Hanson replied, “Mr Kazuki, to be frank, that fellow snatched my job and crippled my right hand. I hate him so much! He even said that he was confident that Aurora would be the champion and Ms. Nanako was not her match. Therefore, I sincerely hope Ms. Nanako can beat Aurora and not let that fellow prevail!” Yamamoto Kazuki nodded and said, “Okay, I know. I’ll pay more attention to not let the opponent prevail. You can go back now.”

I sent him a glare while Kato growled by the fact that he was right even though he so badly wanted it to be false.

I blurt out. Cortèz starts to stroke his cane over the sand making a capital L. “Let.” He says to us while he writes the capital letter U. “Us.” Then strokes his cane again making a capital A. “All.” Writes the letter H. “Heal.” Lastly he finished with the capital U. “Unexpectedly.” Harry finishes. Cortèz smiles. “The island of LUAHU is home for people who wishes to heal. May the both of you heal from your pains and be awakened soon.” He walks away until he magically disappears fading.

Kazan immediately set to work building a roaring fire in the massive stone hearth of the great room, casting a warm, flickering golden glow across the exposed wooden ceiling beams. He walked over to where I sat on a heavy velvet armchair, leaning down to wrap his massive, warm arms completely around both of us. He looked down into Astraea’s wide, glowing silver-and-black eyes, his chest rumbling with a deep, intensely possessive purr that instantly eased the lingering ache in my soul. "We're off the grid, Kate," Kazan whispered, his lips pressing gently against my forehead. "No packs. No thrones. No armies. Just us."
