Looking at her was one of the most disconcerting things I had ever experienced in my life, and when she finally got close enough her lips curled up in a faint approximation of a smile.
“What have we done to warrant a visit from Her Grace?” she asked, addressing the words to Palmer even though her eyes never stopped assessing me.
Even her voice sounded eerily similar to Palmer’s, and it was at this moment that it finally clicked.
