His hoodie was still up, casting a shadow over his sharp features, but those eyes—light blue, glowing under the dim lights—locked onto her like she was the only thing in the room. Kill. Me. Now. "I—I—" she started, still rubbing her head, her brain scrambling for something normal to say. "You okay?" he asked, his voice dipping with concern as he made a move to come around the counter.

Chantelle POV: It had been three months since I left my uncle's house and moved in with Declan. I was finally beginning to feel a sense of peace. For the first time in a long time, I felt safe and cared for. Declan and his staff had been so kind to me, making sure I had everything I needed. I had tried to help around the house, but the maids always shooed me away, telling me to relax. As I sat there, reflecting on my new life, I couldn't help but feel grateful for everything that had happened.

My mom and I have a set diet plan where I eat properly on alternate days and the other days I would just eat fruits. Yes, it is more horrible than it sounds. I am actually used to the headaches. “Nope, I can’t eat today. Anyways, I have something else to talk to you about.” I say as I drag out my words suggestively, making him switch off the stove and focus all of his attention on me like he knew I was up to something. Okay, now I am nervous. “You remember the model, Kylie? Pretty girl with-“ “Yep, we talked for a few minutes. She was trying to find her phone, turned out to be in her pocket the whole time. Weird.” He told me, almost making me shake my head.

Dan advises, no bullshit in his tone. Katherine: Hey Josh, it's Katherine from last night. I smile, "Natalie R- Carrington. Natalie Carrington." I say. It was going to take a long while for me to finally adjust to that name. As much as I hated the name, I was now a Carrington.

“That’s what I’m sayin’!” “Hi, Alpha!” Kelly chirps brightly to Gray, approaching our table with a tray of beers. She sets one in front of each of us, then tucks the tray under an arm and sets a hand on his shoulder. “How’s it going?” Kelly’s part of Gray’s pack and has always had a thing for him. That didn’t stop her from hooking up with me a few months back, though. She probably pretended I was him the entire time. “Good,” Gray murmurs, reaching for his beer. “Has Fallon come in yet?”

She grinned widely upon that idea. “well well well! look who have we got here?” “Ohh! How could she talk? I knew it! where’s her switch button?” Alexis spat at Amber who just made a grand entrance along with her disciples. “I wonder until when are you gonna keep up with Arianne? I mean if your boyfriends are friends it’s okay……but, what if she’s not the girlfriend anymore? I heard Gracie as in the "Gracie Donovan" is back! You know, the boyfriend's ex-girlfriend!!?!
