When they finished their quick evaluation, the lead doctor turned to face me, his features twisting into a deeply apologetic, fearful expression. "No, Alpha... it didn't work at all," he revealed quietly, his hands shaking slightly. "In fact, I think his core heart rate has reduced significantly because we are forcefully forcing his brain to wake up without the proper ritual. This unnatural pressure is using up his remaining life span and actively making him die much faster on the table."
