Eve turned back to Kieran, her eyes blazing. “You knew this would happen.” Kieran smirked, his expression unreadable. “I set the board. Now let’s see how you play.” Rage burned in Eve’s veins. This wasn’t a test. It was a war. She launched herself into the fight, her wolf roaring beneath her skin. She dodged a dagger aimed for her heart, countering with a swift strike that sent her attacker sprawling. But the assassins weren’t ordinary warriors. They were hunting her.
