A world not unlike their own, but filled with darkness, its sky without a barrier, its people suffering under the rule of a dark god. And in the center of the image, a single, golden key—broken. Cole looked at Lila, then at their friends, then at the image. The war for their world was over. But the war for eternity—for all worlds—had just begun. “Are we ready?” he asked, looking at Lila. She smiled, squeezing his hand. “We’ve always been ready,” she said. “Together.” They turned, walking toward the edge of the city, the key floating above them, its golden light showing the way. Behind them, their friends and the other guardians followed, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

Power? "On the eve of the war, the dragon king is to take half of his heart and merge it with the queen's. And the objective of the war is for the queen to put the heart in the golden jar in the sacred chamber," Ramon continued. "Doing so seals the victory for the kingdom and the extinction of the adversary's." I swallowed. Maybe that was not the time to be mad. "When is the war?" I asked. "The stars have not revealed the date." He rubbed his chin. "So I may enjoy the privilege of a borrowed time."

He activated the spiritual energy within him, gathering it on his Thunder Blade. The Thunder Blade gleamed with a cold light, and a crimson hue appeared on the blade. "Crazy Blade Strike!" A sharp and fierce blood-red blade light cut through the air, flashing through the moonlit woods. Just as the blade light was about to touch Sebastian's body, a semi-transparent shield appeared in front of him. Clang! When the blade light struck the shield, the shield dissipated, and the blade light was also neutralized. Sebastian was unharmed, showing no signs of damage.

Where the iron key from the Labyrinth hung on its nail, a thin, white film was creeping up from the keyhole beneath it, like frost, but perfectly geometric. They were even assimilating our trophies. “This is a different kind of war,” Kairi said, his voice grim. “We can’t fight order with chaos here. It’s like fighting the tide.” “So, what?” I demanded, my hands curling into fists. “We just stand here and watch everything turn white and quiet? We wait until we’re too ‘ordered’ to even care?”

“Let’s end this.” Shadowkin burst from crystalline cracks, void-blades searing, eyes clouded, hymns jarring. They guard a colossal crystalline heart, its facets pulsing shadow, wraith-claws writhing within, its screech shaking stone. Veyn stands before it, void-blade raised, aura blazing, shoulder bloodied. His voice hisses. “The heart’s mine, Kael!” Kael’s blade arcs, sparks flying, voice raw. “No more!” Veyn’s laugh slices the air, Shadowkin charging, blades humming. Kalia’s orb flares, aura steady, eyes distant, a vision seizing her—the heart’s crystalline core, tied to her orb, its light the key to shattering it. “Aelys!” she gasps, fingers tightening, voice sharp. “It’s the Herald’s ess

Everything. Then across the battlefield— similar realizations appeared. Valen stopped fighting. Lily stopped fighting. Ava stopped fighting. One by one. The duplicates smiled. Then vanished. Turning into blue light. Then the fortress voice echoed. "TRUTH ACCEPTED." The entire world trembled. Then the Sixth Key descended from the sky. Floating. Brilliant. Beautiful. Finally within reach. Then suddenly— a hand grabbed it. Silence. Immediately. Then Thomas froze. Because standing beneath the key—

“You carry the Veilblade. You came seeking answers. You walked willingly into the maw of fate. And now, you will understand what it truly means.” Elior braced himself as the world darkened. The throne room shattered, and suddenly, he was standing somewhere else. A battlefield. Blood soaked the earth, bodies littered the ground. Soldiers clashed—werewolves, warriors, kings—all of them caught in an endless war. And in the center of it all, the First King stood, wielding a blade that pulsed with dark energy. The same energy that now coiled around Elior’s own weapon. Elior staggered back, breath catching. “This—this is—”

He looked directly at Ariana. "You have made a mistake." Ariana shook her head. "No." She brought the blade down. "I made a choice." The gate closed. The golden army disappeared. The sky returned to normal. The Heart remained floating above Ariana. Silence filled the mountains. Then... Ariana heard a voice. "The first war is over." Ariana looked toward the Heart. A second voice followed. "Now the real journey begins." Ariana's eyes widened. The Heart cracked just once.

He closed his eyes, opened them, and stared at the screen again. His thumb hovered uselessly above the glass. Instinctively, his eyes darted to the top of the portal page to double-check the routing parameters. He checked the account identifier first. The name listed was Ethan Vale. He checked the deployment reference marker. Node 04 — Industrial Logistics Complex. Correct. He checked the settlement execution date. Today’s timestamp. Correct. Then his eyes traveled back down to the final payout line. His brow furrowed deeply. "No," he whispered, his voice flat with immediate disbelief. "That's... that's a system glitch. Someone dropped a zero. Or three."
