Who are you to threaten Ms. Alderidge?” Skylar sneered.

Damien was more laid back for his payment to do his set. “I cannot wait to hear the legend about the Shifters of Cyprus. Before any of those guys could reach the car Hunter stepped out. "Don't come out, Mom, and call Draken," Hunter rumbled as he slammed the door shut locking the car. Neo’s POV Sitting at my desk, my mind is consumed by the image of Skyler, completely engulfed in those Scarabs she fondly referred to. It's astonishing how she fearlessly caressed them, treating them as harmless creatures, before they obediently scurried away from her and disappeared into the earth. It's as if they hold no threat, no potential for danger or death. This scene continues to play in my mind, leaving me both fascinated and perplexed by Skyler's unwavering trust in these seemingly treacherous insects.

Suddenly, it felt as though this was the first time he knew Zayn. “Damn it, f*ck! You… You—!” Skyler struggled for a bit before pushing himself back to his feet. He shook his head hard, and two teeth fell out, causing him to sound like he was lisping. “What are you people doing, standing right there?! Get that punk! Snap his damn neck! Make him pay!” Hearing Skyler’s command, his five underlings lunged at Zayn, their mouth busy with angry curses and battle cries.

They weren't fighting, not quite. But Skyler had the younger wolf pinned against a workbench, his hand wrapped around the kid's throat, his eyes glowing that eerie ice-blue that meant his wolf was too close to the surface. "Skyler!" Marcus's voice cracked like a whip. "Stand down. Now."

However, Cyan set her mind on attending the celebration and meeting the branch leader. Cyan uttered with a smile, “Come on, mister.
