A kiss of death.” I smirked. “ Well… Ivy, I'd die a happy man.” He looked at my lips and we laughed together. We settled back on the sofa for movie night, blankets, dim lights, rain still falling. Halfway through, my head started throbbing sharp and sudden, like someone had driven a spike behind my eyes.

"No—” Alessia was wide-eyed. Her body was stiff, frozen and motionless as Alby's lips brushed against hers, taking a sip and crushing it slowly and gently.
