Novel & Cerita Kitchen House Book

Chapter 11 --- As Christian stepped into the foyer of his mansion, the familiar scent of home enveloped him, a comforting embrace after a long day. He loosened his tie with a sigh of relief, the tension of the day melting away with each step he took. In the spacious kitchen, the soft glow of overhead lights illuminated the room, casting a warm ambiance over the gleaming countertops. There, amidst the aroma of simmering sauces and roasting vegetables, Antonia moved with practiced grace, her culinary expertise on full display.

“I can’t cook. Like at all. I burn anything I try to make.” “I’ll help teach you over the next few weeks. At least until I leave for school. There is also a cookbook in the pack house kitchen, and your kitchen that our mothers made together with of all their recipes. They also give all kinds of tips, and instructions on how to cook things properly.” “There is?” “Yes. That’s where I got all of the recipes for everything I ever cooked for everyone. I didn’t know they made it until very recently, but it’s what I always use.”

Communication was poor in the community, which meant that grandparents had to drive towards Lovell or to the resort where they installed an amplifier. They left and I was left alone in the house. The smell of burning was already wafting from the kitchen. With difficulty, she got up from the couch, slowly walked into the kitchen through the swinging door, and turned off the oven. Usually, Norma's grandmother's kitchen looked like housewives from the fifties. Everything is in perfect order, according to the precepts of Julia Child, whose cookbook has been on the shelf for as long as I can remember. But not today. Everything was thrown half way. The flour was still on the table, the vegetables

Flipping back and forth, he saw that the recipe was the same on every page. "Husband figure out?" Tink asked, standing on her tiptoes to look at the book. "No," Mike said, flipping to the very first page. What use was a recipe book with only one recipe? His vision blurred, and he rubbed his eyes. Closing the book, he stared at the outside. It had no title on it, but it did have a picture of a triangle on the spine. Mike ran his finger over the golden grooves of the shape, tilting the book so Tink could get a good look.

She has been there every month. He wrote: the grandmother already knows December. The section must begin here. "Tell me about the kitchen," he said. She turned from the counter and looked at him directly. The flour on her wrist. The dough on the board. The kitchen of the rented house behind her, which was not her kitchen and which she was using anyway because the bread required a kitchen and the kitchen available was the one in this house. "A kitchen is for feeding people," she said. "Not for looking at. I've been in kitchens that were designed to be looked at. You can't work in them. There's nowhere to put the bowl."

SKY POV “This place is amazing.” I commented running my hands on the smooth black marble countertop on the kitchen island, then glanced behind me at the giant cupboards that were literally, a floor and a half up from the ground. This house had to be like, a model house. Something put there just for show and for everyone to admire. Nothing else, and definitely not one to live in.

Then the hallway disappearing further, leaving the foyer and venturing to another part of the house. To the right of the entrance, there was an open doorway, but the awkward angle I saw it at gave me no advantage to what it was. Stepping forward slowly, afraid of getting dirt in this spotless house, I tip-toed toward the empty door frame. The kitchen was clearly more expensive than the whole house put together. All the appliances were stainless steel and the counters a deep granite I had never seen outside of magazines. There was a matching island in the middle, styling the same granite.

He’s not exactly what Dawson had me thinking he is, he’s worse and that’s infuriating. He’s a coward without the tiniest spine. That’s what I see him as. “Phew.” I didn’t get lost trying to find the kitchen. This house is huge. Not just huge with spaces, it’s extraordinarily big. You could easily get lost if you’re not careful enough. The kitchen is almost the size of the living room. There was no staff around or in sight, it was just me walking over to the fridge to pour myself any of the available juices.

Chapter 129 The kitchen was a humid, claustrophobic box that felt less like a room for nourishment and more like a chamber of penance. The air was a thick, greasy soup of boiled turnip, old cabbage, and the metallic tang of the radiator that hissed like a dying viper in the corner.

Potatoes over-boiled and peeling apart like they’d given up on life. He blinked. “What happened here?” he asked, stunned. I stood there holding a wooden spoon like I had control over the situation. “I was… cooking.” He looked from me to the stove. “To eat?” he asked carefully. “Yes!” He stepped forward quickly and turned off the stove. “Why does it look like the kitchen lost a fight?” I pouted slightly. “It said fail-proof.” He noticed the cookbook on the counter. “You bought this?” “Yes,” I admitted. “I thought… I just wanted to make you something to eat when you got back from class.”
