I ran my hand through my hair and took another deep breath. I approached that wrongly. I abandoned the hospital cart and sat on his bed. “Brother, please, talk to me.” His Adam apple gobbled and he looked away from me. “Please.” I pushed.
And he broke.
I watched my brother's shoulders quiver terribly as he tried to contain it. His head remained down, but droplets slapped on the sheet.
Kormak cried. For he has lost his child. His mate laid barely alive attached to machines. No, he couldn't contain it anymore.
