"Three days," he whispered. "After the claiming, we'll be bound in every way the pack recognizes. Body, blood, spirit. There won't be any part of me that isn't yours."
"Good," Anna murmured. "I want all of you. The wolf, the man, the Alpha, the boy who burns toast."
He laughed, the sound vibrating through her chest. "I don't burn toast."
"You absolutely burn toast. Carly told me."
The name hung between them for a moment, not sharp, not cutting, just present. A ghost acknowledged and released.
