Marina's Pov We reached the border in the early afternoon, Damon and I riding alongside a dozen warriors on routine patrol. Three young wolves waited there, huddled together at the edge of our territory, clearly terrified. My breath caught when I recognized one of them. Sarah, one of Alia's friends, the blonde girl who'd thrown her cookie on the floor and made me clean it up on my hands and knees years ago. She dropped to her knees the moment she saw us, her hands raised in surrender.

She hoped the baby was all right. However, the black wolf was already behind her, making Alice run immediately, but Alice got another attack from a Rogue who hit her on the right side. Kenn's eyes narrowed as he remembered the image. Kenn didn't say how Alice died, he didn't feel like telling Amelie. "How is she? Did she die?" Amelie asked, curious about Kenn's hanging story.
