I nod. “Well, imagine something like one of those beasts—the long snout, pointy fangs, enormous tongue that doesn’t quite fit, uncontrollable slobbering, mangy fur, and these evil-looking unholy eyes. Imagine being caught somewhere between that wolf-like creature and a human. Mangled, twisted bones set at strange angles with patches of skin and tufts of fur.” I shake my head, my stomach turning just thinking about it. No, I can’t allow her to see me. Bexley isn’t leaning away from me. She doesn’t get up and dart out the door. Instead, she reaches a hand across the table. My paw lies within her reach. I want to pull it away, but I don’t.

The beast let out a deep roar, its eyes glowing a sickly green. It moved with a predatory ease, its muscles quivering beneath its dark, mangy fur. “This isn’t a fight,” Iris mumbled, her mark flaring weakly. “It’s a death sentence.” Aiden stepped closer to her, his wolf form tense. “Then let’s prove them wrong.”

If I did something stupid, I would end up getting killed, but if I didn't do anything, the beast would die. I looked at everyone, all the men who stood there, looking at me. Her tears kept on falling, embracing her cheeks, and he kept on wiping them while caressing her cheek. After a while of satisfying his beast, he broke the passionate kiss, breathing heavily, but his heavy breathing didn't stop him from attacking her delicious neck. She held his biceps as he kept on devouring her against her will. She gasped out when he started to suck her neck harshly. "I only want my marks on you. However, in a split second, a dense silver trail of shadow blasted into the scene, rattling the creature's rhythm. The beast's dangling eyes reacted horrifyingly fast to the presence of this uninvited visitor.

I have no intention to free you and no intention to hear your wishes. Just rot here,” he said as he tightened the ropes around my body with the pillar. I was already tired of begging with him. From this moment on I realized that he wasn’t human. He was a beast in the name of a human. He was just an animal who was disguised as a human. “You’re animal. You’re such a beast,” I screamed before he tucked a cloth into my mouth.

His heart was frozen, filled with tar. He was a Beast. And nothing would change him. He was a skilled manipulator. One that made you doubt yourself. More than physical torture, he aimed for mental one. A part of me was worried. Even scared for this man with warm eyes. He looked like he hadn’t faced the darkness of this world.
