It was bustling that day and I could see several of my men taking full advantage of their day off. We began walking over to some of them to say a quick hello when our course was halted by Lady Ozera. Her feet lodged in place and her crystal eyes lit up as she spotted something across the way—or I should say, someone. JACOB'S POV My whole body was tingling with excitement upon seeing her barely clothed figure. An older woman has always enticed me. Roman said. “I never stopped,” Dimitry replied. “She’d be twenty-three now. Whoever she’s with, she doesn’t know who she is. But I’ll find her. One way or another.” Roman was quiet for a moment, then finally asked, “What will you do if you do find her?” Then he spoke again, voice thoughtful. “But how would you even know who she is? It’s been over two decades. She was a newborn.” Dimitry nodded slowly, as if expecting the question. “Over the years, we got pieces. Bits of information, rumors… people who remembered fragments. But the strongest lead came from a nurse who survived that night. She was never officially listed. She fled before anyone could silence her.”
