Dimitrios

What matters for me is business and I have never spared anyone who had created obstacles in the path of my smoothly running business. Be it my stepbrother or my most trusted man, betrayal means Death.

Painful or brutal. And I know how things would be taken care of. Russian Government does know who is Bratva and who is the next one. The blood runs in our veins only. We have everything around us and we can provide what others need as long as they follow our instructions. It is not easy to gain trust in this world and once you earn it you can't just walk away swaying your hips. I personally erase every single living being who has ever dared to step out of our world with our permission or without because we don't permit it.

The Bratva didn't come out in a single day. It took years to form such a strong alliance and the major group. And I would never let it fall no matter what I have to do with it.

"Boss, we have reached the club." I was sitting in the back seat with my fingers on my lips leaning my head back. There was no plan to come to this club at this time. One unavoidable situation dragged me into this area where my presence was not even required. The situation could be handled by Igor but the man who was involved is a close one to me and I chose to visit him personally.

"Tell Igor to arrange everything."

I walked inside the buzzing club with semi nudes whores, strippers, and many more. Of course, the business was running fine and my men made it clear that people would not get notified about my arrival. I didn't want undue attention at that moment.

"Boss this way." One of the club members guided me to one of the V.I.P's rooms first to show me the situation. I sat there with the other two men. One of them was Russian and one was German. I don't care about their breed, all I wanted was the information that I was seeking.

"Bratva....." The man with a pale face whom I found Russian got up from the couch to initiate a conversation but my left hand raised to stop him in his track. I took my time to sit opposite them with my back leaning on the soft black leather of the couch.

"I didn't come here to listen to your excuse Ivan. I want to know why?"

There was an awkward silence between us. I found Igor stepping inside and standing near my couch with his eyes fixed on those men with his hawk-like eyes. His predatory gaze didn't leave them for a second and his actions were restrained because of my order.

"Igor put the money in front of them," I announced and smiled at them whereas Igor moved forward and motioned his fingers to a man who brought two black briefcases and placed them on the glass table kept in between us.

"Open it." I moved my hand to show the gesture. Someone from the club came in front and opened those two. With two consecutive click sounds there came another big sigh and an exclamation sigh too.

"Nick, hope this amount is fine." I looked at Nick who was already sweating like a pig but what I noticed more was the calm gesture of the German man named Christian.

There was something off about him. Even though his eyes glittered up seeing the money he didn't express anything later on. I was still examining Christian when Nick blurted out the most common statement we people see in every single movie.

"I am sorry. This won't happen again. Forgive me for this time."

"Wow...." A dry laugh left my mouth when I realized that my techniques are always good to practice.

"But I didn't ask for it. I have a small job for you."

Nick's jaw dropped on the ground hearing my words. Of course, he would be thinking that how could I offer him another job after knowing everything.

"Bratva....I... What...Job... " He was still stuttering when Igor came forward and placed two guns in front of us on the table. Both Christian and Nick's eyes went bigger watching those guns but only stared at each other to look for the answer which wasn't there.

"Kill him and earn your freedom." I pointed my index finger towards Christian and asked Nick to do the job. He was shocked beyond anything and was still looking dumbfounded where are Christian was first to react.

In a moment he grabbed the second gun and pointed at Nick who was still in utter shock.

"What the f**k.?" His shocking growl had nothing to do as Christian cocked the bolt and was ready to fire at Nick.

"Sorry man. But it was you who suppose to die." Christian laughed a little but I didn't let it complete. My eyes moved towards Igor who was keenly watching them. He was calculating each of their moves and actions.

Nick was supposed to close his eyes when Christian was almost on the verge of pulling the trigger but a loud gunshot made them both shocked. Only one of them didn't get the chance to react and that was none other than Christian.

Igor did his job and finished him with one shot. The blood splattered all over Nick's face who was digesting those facts.

"Bratva......." My annotation came as a whisper from his mouth when he saw the lifeless body of Christian. His face lost all the colors except the red that was painted due to the blood.

"Yes..... Isn't that the safest way to reimburse the loss? Betrayal can never be forgiven, Nick. In our business traitors are always treated like shit."

The very next moment I found him kneeling in front of me and there I saw the best part of what I always crave.

"Fear."

Every single person I met in my life had fear in their eyes which made my hunger more prominent. I seek their stuttering in front of me. I wish to see them sweating in fear because that is how I can make sure, they won't betray me anymore. But here I was mistaken. He betrayed and nothing could be left unnoticed as long as I'm alive.

"You are no longer required in my gang, Nick. I am sparing your life considering the blood and sweat you put for us."

I stood up from the couch and motioned Igor to leave the room. Within two minutes the room was emptied and we all were walking through the corridor.

"Boss. We shouldn't have left him alive... He might....." Another member of the club was about to finish his words when we all heard a gunshot. A small smile erupted on Igor's face followed by mine.

"You can send your men to clean off the room. Dump those bodies." Igor instructed the rest of the members where was I walked away with a smile of triumph. The man's eyes widened hearing the instructions as he saw the confidence I had and Igor too while informing about the death of Nick. He didn't expect to know that Nick would kill himself.

Nobody noticed except Igor that I left another gun inside the room.

Nick had no choice left except to shoot himself. Christian and Nick both betrayed me but the moment I ordered Igor to finish Christian the plan was already done. Nick couldn't go back to the old hag who paid him to plot against him because once Christian is dead, none would believe that he wouldn't double-cross. So he was left with one choice.

"Killing Himself."

I spared his life to kill him with his own hands. He would understand how does it feel to be betrayed.

Igor and I left as the rest of the business in the club was going smooth. My father taught me this a long time back. Once you leave the traitor to reach its root and make sure that the other is dead, the one who is the mastermind would never believe him again. Because betrayal is something that runs in their blood and they either kill themselves or the opponent would kill them in fear of getting exposed. So in a nutshell I won the bloodshed without soaking my hands in it.

"Xavier would be there to drive you boss." I heard Igor saying while I was walking towards my car.

"Tell him to drive back the other car. I want to drive by myself."

I turned my face to meet Igor's eyes. I had never thought Igor would be someone who would be so close to me. We are quite opposite but if there is someone who can speak something on my face, that is Igor.

"Got it." One word and he left. One more advantage of having Igor is, he understands me quite well like a brother. I choose to drive alone only when I need to think of something bigger. And that day I needed to plan and reassure a lot of things. Nick's betrayal was something that opened one door to us. A final reminder of the upcoming storm. The war wasn't declared but all I could see was the could forming for that.

The crown is not something that could be earned easily but for sure, there would be a lot of other parameters and I know how it gets that. Taking the car keys I walked towards my car and got Inside. I let out a deep sigh and placed my hand on the tie. Loosening it a bit, I cocked my neck at left and right making some cracking sound. Igniting the engine I made my beast roared while cutting through the pitch-black road to reach my mansion.

Minutes passed my hands settled on the steering wheel eyes on the road while jotting down my next plots. Even though I was drowned in my thoughts, my ears didn't miss the slightest sounds of movements.

After Nick's incident I was already alerted but what I didn't expect was two soft hands around my neck that too one of them was holding a knife.

"What the f**k," I growled and due to the sharp reflex my left hand grabbed the small one that was holding the knife aimed at the main vein of my neck. If there was any other person with a lesser experience he would have gotten himself stabbed nicely as the owner was quite furious at that time.

"You....." Her little soft yet anger-filled voice reached my ears and my grip got tightened around her wrist making her struggle ten folds.

Her other palm was still grabbing the collar of my shirt but she used her nails to scratch the exposed skin of mine.

My eyes landed on the mirror to see the attacker and there I was shocked and mesmerized both after glancing at the reflection.

Behind me, there was a young girl rather than a school-going kid whose eyes were bloodshot even though the green hues were darker than any other forest. But what took my notice was something else.

There was a Zeal instead of Fear. A determination and hatred towards me and I was overwhelmed with that.

Where criminals piss in their pants and assassins fear to raise their hands on me, a mere girl just attacked me with a mere knife.

Her eyes widened when she realized the pressure I was giving on her wrist was going beyond her expectations. She was still struggling with both of her hands whereas I was simply driving the car with one hand. No one can see from the outside what sort of tiny storms are happening inside the car.

"You ... Bastard...."

Oh, the little girl got a dirty mouth too. My god, her sweet voice didn't fit that exact harsh words she was using.

"Drop it." I commanded while chuckling a little inside.

"Never, you murderer."

And there I was honestly impressed watching the fire and confidence in her.

"Girl, you caught the wrong man's attention." My inner beast growls even though I didn't know anything about her.

"Trust me, you are going to regret girl." With that, I moved the steering wheel to the right taking a sharp turn. In the meantime, I released her hand too and as a result, she hit her head hard on the window making a thud sound.

What I heard next was a mixture of small screams painful yelp.

My job was done. I hope she would be out until I reach my mansion to know who is she.

"What have you decided then?" Igor pulled the chair close to him before sitting in front of Dimitrios's desk. "Nothing much." His reply was cold and his attention was fixed on something kept on the other side of the table."Still having that?" Igor followed his gaze and grabbed a look at the photo frame. It was the only picture where Iris was standing in front of Dimitrios while looking at him with a questionable expression. In those four years only once Igor got the courage to take a snap of them together. When Dimitrios found out about the incident later, he framed it and kept it somewhere in his office. He didn't know that when Maria kept it accidentally on his desk while cleaning the old kinds of stuff. "Not a use anymore." He turned the frame down and brought out another cigar to smoke."I see." Igor let out a long sigh watching the man getting old more than expected. There was always an age gap issue between Iris and Dimitrios but since she had left, it looked like Dimitrios's

"Happy Birthday Iris...... Finally, you are an adult." Maria spoke bringing out a box of chocolates for Iris in the morning. "Thank you, Maria...." Iris jumped out of her bed and hugged Maria putting a kiss on her cheeks. "Now, get ready and come down for breakfast." She insisted on making her fast in her actions. "Well well, I will be. Where is Dimitri? Your great boss." Iris taunted her while grabbing her dress to disappear into the washroom. "He is waiting downstairs at the breakfast table," Maria replied making her bed neat and clean. "I will be coming down in ten, Maria." She shouted back from the washroom. Iris stood in front of the large mirror and watched herself carefully. She grew up quite fast. From where those four years passed she didn't remember. She turned eighteen today and all she could see was a reflection of a tall beautiful young woman in the mirror. "Dimitri...." She rolled out his name while opening the tap to splash some water on her face. Unknowingly a sm

Iris slid through the tiniest gap that she made while opening the main door at the entrance. Holding her precious shoes in her hand she walked with the paws of a cat. Taking a sharp breath she made her way to the staircase to reach her room as fast as she could. The moment her feet touched the first step, the big chandelier illuminated just above her head and those shoes dropped from her hand to the ground making her curse under her breath. "Shit...." She whispered but didn't get the courage to turn her face to have a glance at the danger standing there. "I didn't know my house has become a paid hotel now." The voice was clear and she didn't even need to be in her senses to realize who was the owner of it.Turning her body towards the fear of her life she stood like a deer caught in a headlight. "Nice dress." Dimitrios chuckled watching her standing in a black slim fit dress that was ending just above her knees. "Dimitri... I...." Iris opened her mouth to protest when she realize

Maria entered the room and watched Iris carefully. When she turned her face to Dimitrios, he was already walking out of the room. "Sir, what had happened with her?" Accumulating some of her courage she dared to ask the man about Iris. "Ask her. I think she owes you an explanation tomorrow." Annoyance was clear in his voice. Maria didn't drag the matter on longer. She changed Iris's dress and washed off the makeup she was wearing. In between all such movements, Iris only knitted her eyebrows a few times and went back to sleep again."Sir...." Maria called Dimitrios once she was done with Iris and stood at the corner of the room. "Are you done?" Dimitrios asked stepping inside his room. Watching Iris in a comfortable night suit he nodded at Maria and told her to leave. After what happened in the car a part of him was not at all ready to let her sleep in his room. On the other hand, he was fighting with his budding emotions to keep her for the night. With the turmoil of his emotions, h

"Is she drunk?""I swear sir no. We were dancing and then we both came to have some mocktails. I guess she took the wrong glass as a few boys were ordering also at the same time." Robin had no intention to take advantage of Iris. At least when he was indirectly threatened by Dimitrios's men. "I doubt so boy..." Dimitrios spoke watching Iris carefully and her whole body. His eyes were searching for any sort of sign that could prove that she was assaulted. "I swear sir, she was constantly with me except two times. And that was the time I think this drinking issue happened. I took her out in the open air, the moment I realized she wasn't feeling comfortable and waited for you to come.""Dimitri....we already came late to pick her up. Let the boy go. He is speaking the truth." Igor interfered in the middle before Dimitrios could snap his neck in a second. The way he was getting hyper, there was a high chance of the young boy dying in his hand just because of offering Iris a dance."You a

"Prom?" Iris whispered the word to herself. Never in her dreams had she thought of Dimitrios accepting such things. Snapping her head towards him, she gave him a questioning glare before asking something."Are you trying to make fun of my situation?""If you think in such a way I can't do anything." Dimitrios shifted his gaze from her face to the other side of the window. The busy road had ended and they were heading in the direction of Iris's school. "But ... I... " She stopped herself from making an embarrassing statement. She couldn't just let him know that she had no confirmed partner. Gulping down the little fear she sat straight while fidgeting with her fingers. After twenty minutes of drive, they reached their destination. But no one decided to come down from the car for a good five minutes. "Don't you want to go inside?" Dimitrios was the first person to break the monotony of the silence. "Yes......" "Good... Now give me your hand first." Dimitrios ordered and Iris followe
