He wasn’t alone either.” My grip on the phone tightened. “Who was he with?” Rico hesitated. “A guy named Victor. You remember him, right? The one from a few years back. The one who doesn’t show his face unless there’s trouble coming.”

Slowly, eating the fries, she didn’t look at anyone, just smiled when Mady tried to converse with her. “Tell me, Larry, do you like the food here?” Nick asked the boy who was trembling in fear. Lily looked at him and gulped, while Larry nodded in reply a second later, another boy, who followed Jacob and Nick as if they were their master kept a dish in front of Larry. “Try this, my friend you will love it.”Nick's hand went around Larry's hair as he caressed it gently. Larry tried to smile, his voice more like a whisper, “I am fine, thank you.”

Larry’s head was stuck on the chair in front of the operating theater, but he finally removed it from the spot, and he was just in time to see the recovered Frog and Maya walk out. “Frog? You’re… alright?” Frog had originally been quite subservient to Larry, but right then, when he saw Larry, his eyes were filled with disgust, and he really wanted to slap him.
