Hope yells too, "You'll regret it!” "Yes, you'll fucking regret this!" I yell and then I let out a laugh when I realize how hysterical and insane we look right now. I laugh so hard, my tears decide this is the right moment to come out. Then I'm laughing and crying at the same time, "You'll fucking regret it, you will regret it...” My voice starts to lose power and, before I know it, I'm only crying. Hope hugs me again and strokes my back while I have the meltdown I’ve been avoiding for hours.

"Don't. Laugh." But another jolt hit—harder this time. My breath came out rough, and before I could stop myself, a groan escaped. Low. Unfiltered. That was it for her. Luciana completely lost it, doubling over as tears of laughter streamed down her face. I should've been furious, but instead I found myself—God help me—fighting the corner of my mouth from twitching. Her laugh was so loud, so unrestrained, it was impossible not to catch it.

“Hahaha—” Stephen suddenly laughed in anger. After a few laughs, he raised his hand and slapped himself hard. Smack! Once. Smack! Twice. Tears swirled in his eyes, but he did not seem to feel the pain at all. Adam and his assistant grabbed his hands, shouting, “Calm down!” Stephen’s laughter disappeared. He began to cry softly. Then, the crying grew louder until he was sobbing uncontrollably like a child.
