Lucas held the line, anchoring the battlefield, keeping the power from tearing everything apart. I was no longer afraid. No longer uncertain. I was the storm. The healer. The blade. True Luna. The Red-Eyed Alpha forced himself upright, dark power flaring violently as his eyes locked onto mine, burning with fury now instead of confidence. “This is not over,” he snarled. Lightning danced between my fingers as the wind howled around me like a crown. “No,” I said calmly, voice steady, absolute. “It is.” And this time, I knew it.

Once I’m gone, Laxus can focus fully on the fight. I do my best to ignore the snarls and the yelps of pain from behind me, but when one of the wolves’ howls, I turn. Laxus has his teeth in the shoulder of one wolf while the other one on top of him is digging its claws into his sides. His blonde fur is coated in red, but he doesn’t release his hold on the wolf beneath him.

"This is over. The forest is mine." Lyla’s voice was calm. "No. It’s mine." The mark on her arm flared white-hot. The shadows holding her shattered. She surged to her feet. Kane roared and lashed out with the talisman. Crimson lightning streaked toward her. Lyla raised her hand. The silver fire erupted from her palm, not in streams or sparks this time, it came as a blinding wave. The crimson lightning shattered on impact. Kane stumbled back. His skin burned where the fire touched him.

The sword felt almost weightless for Lars, like it really was forged to fit his hands. "Don't just avoid it! Kill it!" Tirana yelled. Tirana reached for her bag and pulled out a wand - like object with yellow crystal orb. She aimed it at the beast and lightning bolt shot out of it. The lightning was cracking and lashing the air as it burned through the monster's scales. After the lightning assault stopped, the monster roared in rage once again. It tried to move but the lightning attack had severely contracted its muscles, rendering the beast immobilized, perfect for a strike.

Her eyes were ember. “What do you want?!I am in no mood for jokes! I am having a very bad day!” She snarled at him. Her fiery red eyes almost rendered him speechless. For the first time, Ice was at a loss for words.

I sighed, there was no getting rid of him. We continued to walk trying to find Hunter. The sky grew so dark it felt like night had fallen rather than morning. Clouds began to churn like a bad storm was brewing. The wind picked up. Oddly, I noticed lightening. It was not normal; it was not right. The lightening continued to shoot down from the sky to one specific area. It was colored red. I have never seen red lightening. Something strange yet powerful was happening. I could feel it in my core. My own magic felt like it was trying to brew to the surface.

Never mind what the Lightning Bird had done to people, what had people done to the Lightning Bird? “What have you done with them, creature?” said Thassa, his hand on his sword. “You are tiresome, Guardian,” said the Lightning Bird. He even looked different now, thought Ilyria. He seemed taller, he strode toward Thassa with his wings semi-extended, his chin lowered. Fearsome, she thought, he looks fearsome. Yet still she was not afraid. “Astrapi,” she said, stepping between Thassa and the Lightning Bird. Astrapi, she reminded herself. Not Lightning Bird. “Stop.”

Lengo pounced forward like a lioness with her blades penetrating deep into the enemy, blood seeping along the walkway and being soaked up into the gravel and staining the grass leaving a scar on mother nature. Krona heard a clunk of a mace hitting his shield and then the heavy weight of an overly large man up against him making him stumble a couple of steps towards the cliff edge, turning he saw an arrow protruding from a mans eye socket; quickly turning he slid his blade into another and then searched for another enemy.
