He saw the way the Unlearned were watching the child, their lips peeling back to reveal yellowed fangs. Leo didn't call for the automated turrets. He didn't ask Kael to vent the sector. He walked to the center of the fountain and stood on the obsidian rim. He raised his right hand—the one that wasn't broken—and for the first time in seven days, he let the gold static flare. It wasn't a supernova. It was a cold, sharp spark of sovereign fire that cut through the yellow haze like a needle. "Look at me!" Leo roared.

“Don’t. Don’t do that.” Her unwanted touch was just enough to snap him back into reality. The red light in his eyes dimmed, and his fists unclenched. He took a shuddering breath and pushed the power back, locking it away once more. Leo watched the whole thing with a smirk. “Confirmed,” he said, his voice full of satisfaction. “You do hold the Eclipse Essence. How interesting.” He took a step back, his form starting to dissolve into shadows. “This isn’t the right time to destroy you both,” he continued with a growing smile. “But soon. Very soon.”

Before today I hadn't heard the term Luna Eclipse mentioned once. Their pack is a total mystery to me. Seeing Roe this excited has me curious though, there must be something important about them.
