Truth or Dare was a game where one person was randomly selected from the group, and the chosen person had to pick either truth or dare. Those who chose truth had to answer a question, while those who chose dare had to accept a challenge. If someone refused to answer a question or complete a dare, they had to down three large glasses of beer. No one said a word, which was a silent agreement. Vincent cracked his knuckles, grabbed an empty bottle, and swiftly spun it on the table. When the bottle stopped, whoever it pointed to would be the chosen person.

“He also said you’re ‘stupid pretty.’ Direct quote.” I looked at Luca. He didn’t deny it. Just shrugged. “Facts are facts.” I laughed—really this time. “Okay. Noted.” Jayden clapped once. “Alright. My stomach twisted, but I knew there was no escaping it. The first few rounds were harmless. Dumb dares. Embarrassing truths. Somebody had to run to the mailbox shirtless, another admitted to peeing in the pool last summer. But soon, the dares got sharper. No one complained so I added in a few extra rules: all dares must be inside the house; the person who was dared could issue a challenge and make the person who issued the dare complete it first and afterward, the person who dared had to complete the dare; and failure or refusal by either party would result in a consequence agreed upon by all the rest of us. Everyone agreed on these rules. I volunteered to go first and picked "truth" to start us out slow and easy.
