I was embarrassed because it was obvious that I was hooked on what he did. We are here at the Twin Lakes resort of Varly. It's super big and exclusive too. AFTER the laborious and stressful months due to the Hamilton contract, George set up a company-wide outing with the R. I employees. The event will be held at the end of the month. I stood up, walking to the window of the room. As I walked, the mahogany marbled wall stared back at me. The eye-catching interior design complimented the furnishings too. The exclusivity of the place was almost intimidating. Only a hundred guests were allowed per quarter, and the VIP membership came with a staggering annual f*e. Allie shook her head in disbelief. “Who even pays for this?” Julian shot her a playful grin. “People like me.” As they reached the check-in desk, Allie’s nerves kicked in. Her disguise, though effective, felt suffocating in the extravagant setting. Yet, she couldn’t deny the breathtaking beauty around her.

We leave tomorrow morning.” Her mouth fell open slightly. “You planned all that without me knowing?” His smirk widened. “It’s called being efficient.” She stared at the card again, her heart swelling with warmth. Elysian Bay was one of their most exclusive resorts—private, breathtaking, known for its ocean-view villas and complete discretion. “Adrian,” she said softly, “you didn’t have to do this.” “I wanted to,” he replied simply. “You’ve been holding everything together—Maison Élitaire, the charity events, the press. You deserve a break.”

Her voice is bubbling, like she’s trying to capture every joy of the moment before it slips away.
