The water passed straight through the shadow and turned black. Morrow floated closer. Her white light touched the edge of the darkness. The two forces clashed violently. I might as well face the consequences instead of running away from them because obviously, I can't. About 10 minutes later, I'm standing in Dante's office, glad for the dark of the night that shrouds me with shadows. He might have turned on the lights to aid visibility and also so he could mount more pressure on me, but he doesn't, and I'm glad for it. Maybe he appreciates the darkness as much as I do—at least that's one thing we have in common. I can't see him glaring at me, but his eyes are piercing through even though they're not exactly visible to me.

I was pinned down but, I would fight with everything in me. I reached out to Rudolph through my mind and gave a mental image of everything. I knew now why I felt so connected to him. It had nothing to do with me, yet it felt like it had everything to do with me. I was his eternal soulmate. We were Shadows of the night passing each other, torn apart by death but, meant for each other by fate. Eternal soulmates, yet shadows in the dark. I reached for Rudolph with everything in me. I could almost see him in the field of flowers. He reached for me. I felt myself fading. Edgar must have figured out our connection in my mind cause he screamed.

I could believe the sight of seeing two Leos. And the physical real one is fighting like his duplicate is not somewhere else. But how? “My shadow is with you while I was fighting with them. It takes a lot of energy but I still want to do it to prove to you that I am real and you are just one of us.” He added and I looked at him. The one with me looked paler than the one who was fighting over there. So this is the shadow! The shadow is lighter than the real one. “This time, they are not seeing us! We are like the invisible viewers here and they will be back soon. The fight is ending!” he said and I sighed.

Adric, cloaked and silent, his eyes a haunting mix of silver and shadow. He whispered to the wind: "Light doesn't destroy darkness. It teaches it how to see." And as the moon rose once more, its glow stretched across both wolves, one of light, one of shadow, their destinies now intertwined.

It was almost as if it was a time line as we walked down the hall. I saw a sword. Many different people held the sword as we walked. Sometimes it was a person outlined in black light, which was strange to see black light. It was not like the UV purple light that they called black light in the clubs. This was inky dark light. Almost like paint, but reflected as light. My physics brain couldn't wrap itself around the concept, and yet here it was right in front of me.

Aria says. "I wouldn't do it if I thought it was putting you guys in danger. Don't worry about it." I say. Suddenly we felt the building shudder. Like there was an earthquake or something. So we all got up but it was a quick shudder. Not like an earthquake. But then it happened a second time. We all ran out to the courtyard and Angelo ran out behind us. The shadow witch was out there throwing bolts of power at the gate to the mansion. "What the hell is this?" I asked Angelo.

But, her expectation soon shattered into pieces. Suddenly, a bright blue-ish light steadily spread across the night, Shadow's eyes seek refuge under her elbow to screen out the excessive light. "Ugh, what the hell? What's going on? Why is this happening to me?" The light slowly spread and engulfed her surroundings. The light ran rampage and blindly attacked the surrounding and loitered around but Shadow had a feeling the sudden appearance of the light had a purpose. "What the..." The light brightened up, making it impossible for her to peek at the surroundings, thus leaving her no choice but to focus on her senses.
